Summary
Dr. Murakami is devoted to caring for hospitalized patients at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center and other Samaritan hospitals. Dr. Murakami works with a patient’s regular clinician and other specialists to provide skilled and compassionate care. He was motivated to become a doctor after working on cholera in Malawi while serving in the Peace Corps. He values open-mindedness, time and jazz music. He spent his childhood in Vienna, Austria, and when he got a computer in 1982, he spent hours playing The Oregon Trail video game. Finally, he made it from the East Coast. In his free time, Dr. Murakami enjoys free and traditional climbing, scuba diving, long trail hiking, playing chess and Texas Hold ‘em and spending time with family.
