Dr. Norma Liliana Pariewski, MD

i have been calling for 2 months straight and its been a miracle to get a hold of this Dr. not professional or responsible at all

Dr. Pariewski recommended treatment facilities to my parents that had no therapists and no basis of statistical efficacy for children. I was sexually and physically and emotionally abused at these places after recommendation of her because at the time she was my psychiatrist. She failed to diagnose me with bipolar disorder and sent me to a place that had no psychiatric treatment and allowed no psychiatric medication. In fact we are not allowed to even go to the doctor or the dentist the entire time we were institutionalized. My ability to grow up as an adult has been retarded as a result of infantile ization and abuse at the hands of adults who are supposed to care for me. As a child I was helpless to defend against adults that constantly reminded me that my parents didn't want me and threw me away to these people wanted to break down my personality in order to create a new one. as a result I have dissociative identity disorder and my entire life has been full of pain and struggle. At… 50 years old I am just now realizing the gravity of how this treatment has affected my ability to have relationships. The children were forced to turn on each other and forced to admit to deeds that they never committed. To disclose anything personal was an invitation for abuse and humiliation. I believe the doctor received incentives from this institution for recommending them. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY CHILDREN! SHE IS COMPLICIT!

Dr. Pariewski, is a very compassionate doctor. Takes her time with you and great bed side manner. I was referred by a friend of a friend and am very glad I was.

Dr. Pariewski is the most helpful psychiatrist I've ever seen. I never got the impression that she was only interested in money or that she thought medication was the answer to everything, which is what I worry about most with psychiatrists. She would listen very well and help me see my problems from a different point of view. Plus, her office has an amazing view.

Dr. Pariewski treated me for more than 20 years in the 80's and 90's. As I look back, I see how skillful and compassionate she was. And patient. I was very unhappy and self-defeating. She gently led me to discover my own false ideas about myself and relationships, which allowed me to make many major changes -- without her ever telling me what to do. My life is now full, simple and contented, and I give her much credit for my mental health, my wholeness and happiness today.
