Hello Dr Boardman did an AMAZING JOB on my elbow replacement in 2022 . As luck would have it i am 33 with RA and will be having my opposite elbow done in 2 weeks. I have full faith in DR BOARDMAN and his staff will do a great job on this procedure, I find him to be confident and easy to talk to, I feel he cares and is friendly and professional!

I honestly don’t think you will find a better surgeon in the state of Virginia . He is hands down the truth and a master at what he does.

I went to see him after a rear end car accident , I think he took a dis liking to me because I’m over weight , he guessed of my shoulder problems , and I had to get second opinion , and my Rotary cuff is torn , he could have cared less of my pain I was in they told me when I called to tell him I was still hurting and they say oh Diabetes will cause that I had no problems with the shoulder until the car accident, just because I’m over weight , I still have feelings I was really surprised because this is at vcu a out standing hospital

Dr Boardman walked the ropes of making sure we did everything one step at a time. However, when it was evident that only surgery was left, he did not hesitate to say so or schedule it. Unlike other doctors I have been to, Dr Boardman did not make me go through years of pain before fixing my problem. When surgery was complete, he left me with the thinnest scar and an arm that was soon to be good as new (he did a total shoulder replacement). I cannot sing his praises enough! And it didn't hurt that he has a wonderful bedside manner.

Been suffering for 3 months.He gave me a Med combo that made me bleed when I had to use the bathroom.Toliet full of Blood.Think I was poisoned.Still suffering from Pain.Whats wrong with him he knows I had full shoulder replacement not like Iam faking it.

Dr. Boardman was recommended to me and thank goodness. He has replaced both shoulders for me. The first one is flawless. I can’t even tell it’s not my own except for those rainy days! I have done so well that when I needed the other one done there was no hesitation about who was going to do it. He is straight up in his evaluation and is there for you all the way through your recovery. He has great sense of humor and excellent bedside manner. I have never waited more than 15 minutes to see him and never had a problem with office staff. I am shocked by some of the poor reviews I have read. I highly recommend him without hesitation should you need a new shoulder.

I had a surgery on my elbow a year ago prior to the surgery I had little pain. After a 5 minute meeting with the doctor he beleived removing some of my bone was the right course of action. Along with confidently telling me that I would gain more motion which I did but I also gained severe pain in my elbow which almost a year later hasnt improved even with physical therapy. His after care plan was some uninvolved physical therapy which I stopped in order to go somwere with a better physcal therapist and a follow up visit that he sent another doctor into talk to me about. Do not go to this surgeon.

the staff and dr. boardman were very knowledgeable and gave me information that I could understand without a medical degree. I left the appointment not only feeling better but with confidence about my outcome.
