Dr. Norman Lawrence Goody, MD

This Doctor whom I used to consider a friend as well stabbed me in the back for my honesty with him. With my wife dying in a hospital far from home I started having horrible panic attacks when the doctors there told me she was going to die at any time over the next year or even days. I had never had a panic attack so I took more of my pain medicines. hoping they would stop Since I was due back to see him in 4 days and was terribly sick I resorted to buy something off the street just to make it back to his appointment. When I saw him I expected to get off the pain pills I'd been successfully taking (with no abuse!) for 10 years. I was willing to endure the constant pain but was desperate to get something to help me with the horrible panic attacks that had taken over my life and the constant depression I had as well, He put me on a horrible drug called suboxzone. but would not give me anything for the intense panic attacks and the intense daily depression (both of which I still suffer… from). He wrote in my/his notes that I was a "drug addict", and abused narcotics and was to be treated as such! Now my life is ruined not only did my cherished wife die, but each day I spend in a life of either depression or panic attack and I can not get any help since I am now sudden "an addict and a drug abuser" After ten years of pain treatment with no abuse, a four day emergent situation and people telling me my wife was on her death bed , that is what he dared to call me. It is not true and I even stopped taking that (the auto editor will not allow the use of any drug name, sorry) , that has to be one of the worst drugs ever made!) Now even though I an totally narcotic free I can not get anyone here to help me with the panic attacks or the horrible depression I suffer with daily. All because of his few pen strokes calling me something I am not. My life now is a living misery with little hope of getting the medications I really need , (the auto editor will not allow the use of any drug name, sorry except ?) Be careful how truthful you are with your doctor! Even if you consider him a friend! I should have never told him a thing and just pretended it all never happened. Then this tragedy of lies would not have ever been created by him and I would be ab;e to be treated for my debilitating illnesses. I should have LIED to him and said nothing! Take head.

Seems antagonistic and paranoid. Lack of empathy , the opposite of pain management, law enforcement model. One would hope that there are few pain management so called specialist trained or lack of training as is exhibited by this modality.

Wait time way to long every appointment. Patient expected to wait without explanation of dr lack of promptness. Dr overworked and overbooked only available twice a week.
