Dr. Norman Minars, MD

I have been seeing both Dr. Minars for years (Son and dad)Sorry to hear his son is not seeing patients anymore he is a great doctor. Every time I go for a check up everyone is so nice and helpful. My last visit I found out a spot may be cancer I was nervous Dr Minars and his assistant made me feel calm and at ease when they had to take a sample. I am very happy with the service at this office.

Excellent very caring and efficient

I have been a patient of Dr. Norman Minars for over 30 years. I have been pretty satisfied in the past. Always friendly & courteous. Yesterday I went in to have 2 red spots (capillaries) on my face layered. I asked the price & Dr. Minars said $200 no matter how many. So I looked & said for him to do wherever you see red spots. So he did a few on my cheeks, chin, & tip of the nose. When I went to pay Dr. Minars said it would be $250. He said it was more than he thought. I don’t like that he changed the price afterwards. I didn’t appreciate that & it was unprofessional. It didn’t set well with me. You just don’t do that. I may be looking for a new Dermatologist soon.

I’ve been going to dr Minars for years, and every time I’ve had a problem he’s been there to help me and correct the problem.

I went in for some minor things and dr minars did a good job. The visit was quick and I did not have to wait long.

Dr Minars is always a delight

This was my first visit with Dr Norman Minars. I was referred by my primary care doctor’s office. I was scheduled total body skin check. Dr Minar introduced himself and after an exchange of cordialities, asked if there were any areas of concern with my skin. He did look at and treated each area with freezing. He also looked at my back, top of my hands and chest and remarked that I had sun damage, but reassured me that none of the areas of concern appeared to be cancer. I do not recall him asking me to remove my mask. I showed him a scar from where I had skin cancer 25 years ago. He remarked that it was kind of unusual for me to have had skin cancer at such a young age. I told him that I use to sunbath quite often. That concluded my exam. Dr Minar told me that I didn’t have to return to see him unless I noticed something. I have Dr Minar 2 stars because, I felt his exam of me could have been more thorough, as I was a first time patient and had requested a total body skin… evaluation. Also, I was surprised that he didn’t wish me to return for any follow up, especially having had skin cancer before as well as other members of my family.

Dr Minars made feel that he was too busy for me, gave me no more than 5-10 minutes of his time and although I explained to him that my problem is on my back below the neck, he did not even ask me to remove my shirt. Quickly he prescribed an ointment and wanted to see me again in one month…
