I just read a review from a medical student who worked with you. I too was a student, a PA , who spent four months interning at your practice in 1985! It was a wonderful experience! I learned so much! I was made to feel a part of your family as well! You actually kept in touch with my parents, The Chatmans, for a few years, helping with some items for their ongoing Mission in Haiti West, Indies! I often think of my time in Broken Bow and many of the experiences I had there!

Dear Dr. Books, in July 1985 I spent a month working under your supervision in your Broken Bow Clinic as a medical student. The time with you was a remarkable and an inspiring chapter in my education and life. I like to remember to you, your kind wife Mary and your kids. Probably, you may have forgotten me meanwhile.
