Dr. failed to exhibit the ability or inclination to assess my condition or set forth an aggressive plan to treat. Shocking disregard.

I was referred to this Doctor from my specialist. His nurse was a delight! Dr. Bhaskar came in. I wanted to get healthier starting with my lungs, heart, etc. I am a smoker and overweight and expected to hear the obvious. What I was NOT ready for was judgements and a long lecture. I am 60 years old and I am quite aware of my health issues. I was trying to make a good start at a new beginning. Dr. Bhaskar lectured me for a while about "just stop smoking". "just stop". I told him it is not that easy. He never gave me any advice about patches, gums, etc. He told me to use a vape pen. He then proceeded to judge me about my weight, my smoking and my teeth. What does my dental issues have to do with my lungs? I was so shocked at the treatment of Dr. Bhaskar that I could hardly speak. I stood up in the middle of his lecturing and judging me and told him this was not working out. I got up and left and canceled my 4-week appointment the next day. THEN, I get a bill 3 months… later for ALMOST $400.00 from him! I am so disappointed that I never want to see another doctor again! Dr. Bhaskar should be ashamed at the way he speaks to his patients. I told him his "delivery" and "bedside manner” SUCKED. If you want a compassionate doctor to help support you with important issues, DO NOT USE DR. BHASKAR!
