“My care philosophy focuses on providing safe, individualized, patient-centered care in a thoughtful and respectful manner,” said Dr. Obiyo Osuchukwu. He emphasizes listening to patients, respecting their experiences and developing treatment plans tailored to their needs. “I got into healthcare because I want to serve and care for people,” he said. “Growing up, I watched my mother struggle to get the right care for a condition she had, and that motivated me to pursue medicine so I could deliver the care people like my mother deserve.” Dr. Osuchukwu specializes in chronic pain, including spine-related conditions, vertebrogenic and cancer pain, postoperative pain, radiculopathy, neuropathy, complex regional pain syndrome, joint pain, and musculoskeletal and orofacial pain. His expertise includes advanced interventional therapies such as neuromodulation, including spinal cord stimulation (SCS) and peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS), kyphoplasty, basivertebral nerve ablation (BVNA), …epidural steroid injections, selective nerve root injections, sacroiliac joint injections, major joint injections, nerve blocks and radiofrequency ablation. “I grew up believing everyone deserves quality healthcare,” he said, noting that seeing family members struggle with chronic pain inspired his career in pain medicine. Dr. Osuchukwu is employed as a clinical faculty physician at The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
