Dr. Espinosa delivered both of my little boys at NAS Jax 2 years apart. Due to complications during my 1st delivery, I opted for a c section for my 2nd. He gave me all the risks and benefits for each to allow he to make an informed decision. His bedside manner is excellent! He made me feel like I was his only patient, always answering all my questions without feeling rushed. I always looked forward to my appointments. My recovery with my first was rough but he always provided reassurance that everything was doing well. I healed very quickly from my c section and my scar looks great just 6 weeks later! He made it so much lower than others I’ve seen. I know in a few years it will be nearly invisible! I never thought I would choose a male OB-Gyn but when he arrived on the scene last second to save my 1st baby during delivery, I didn’t have the option. Now I don’t think I’d have it any other way! He is very gentle during pelvic exams and procedures compared to female midwife and Gyn’s… I’ve had. He inserted an IUD with only mild pain during and no pain or cramping afterward! He explains everything so well. He even offered to come in on his day off to perform my c section which I thought was so sweet, but I definitely wouldn’t have taken him up on it. I’m sad the navy is taking him away, but hope that he ends up back in Jax one day!
