Dr. Ole Saetrum Opgaard

If you are looking for an endocrinologist, do not come to Dr. Opgaard. His practice is so out dated, they won't let you view your lab results when they are available. You have to call them and then they will mail them to you. It's the same lab my mom always uses and usually just views her results online but for some reason Dr. Opgaard blocks this. He also is so checked out and dismisses a lot of my mom's concerns. I found it so frustrating trying to talk to him because he will interrupt and talk over you. He repeatedly tries to pass my mom off to an NP who she didn't like even though we've told him at each visit that she'd prefer to keep her appointments with him. I've found a new endocrinologist for her that takes her insurance and she is so much better. I do not recommend this practice!

I went in to Dr. Opgaard's office for a first appointment today and feel robbed. He literally spent 2 minutes with me and then ran out of the room. He didn't listen to what I've been going through and was dismissive of the problems I did tell him about. Awful doctor. Find somebody other than this man to treat you because he is the worst doctor I have ever seen. I feel robbed.

Dr. Opgaard is a very nice, polite gentleman. I see him on a regular basis for my thyroid condition. He makes the process very easy: he orders labs, occasional ultrasounds, assess me during check ups, and repeats the process every few months. I have never had a problem with him. The office in Laguna Hills and nice, clean, and comfortable. I have waited as little as 5 minutes to up to 45 minutes to see him. It can be a little challenging to make an appointment because he is only at the Laguna Hills office on Tuesdays. Other than that, he's great and I recommend him.
