Dr. Oluwatosin Urowoli Smith, MD

Over an hour wait just to see doctor!!! Poor scheduling!

Dr. Oluwatosin Smith is an outstanding doctor who gives her patients the best of care with her great experience and compassionate care. My husband went from feeling hopeless in getting his vision back to a normal range to feeling thrilled that his vision is excellent, thanks to Dr. Smith's phenomenal care. The entire staff at Glaucoma Associates of Texas has always treated us with the utmost kindness and respect. There is no better place to go for glaucoma issues than GAT and Dr. Oluwatosin Smith! The wait time to be seen and treated is always less than 20 minutes, the procedures are done quickly, the staff and Dr. Smith always explain exactly what they are about to do, and take the time to answer all of our questions in a manner that is clear. If we had questions after leaving the office, we can call back and the technicians will answer them for us. We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Smith and the staff at GAT, but we will always recommend them to anyone who needs their care.

Overall my visits with Dr. Smith are usually good. My most recent appointment with her was really brief & not much was said to me. This was not like our previous visits but it was busy, so maybe that's the reason. Communication is key, so I'll see what my next visit brings. I must say ELLA, my tech was simply AWESOME. She was a pleasure to be around. She was funny, very charismatic, full of smiles & she made me feel very comfortable. All techs aren't the most pleasant or patient with you BUT they could definitely take a page out of Ella's book.

DR. O. SMITH IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE DOCTORS. I HAVE BOTH RETINA AND GLAUCOMA ISSUES SINCE 1960 AND HAVE SEEN MANY EYE DOCTORS AT WILLS EYE CLINIC, JOHN HOPKINS, ST. LOUIS, NEW ORLEANS, ETC SO I HAVE BEEN UNDER THE CARE OF A FINE SELECTION OF OPTHALMOLOGISTS. DR. O. SMITH HAS BEEN TREATING ME SINCE 2009. WHILE SHE IS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL; SHE HAS SUCH A KIND MANNER. I THINK SHE IS EXCELLENT AND HAVE RECOMMENDED HER TO MY FRIENDS WHO NEED CARE.

All tests were conducted very professionally and with empathy for the patient. The patient was informed about each and every step before it was done. Dr. Smith has a very calming and professional demeanor. She lets you know your status in common terms.

You can only get an appoinment with this doctor once a week when she is there. She seems to have too many people to see on that day so your wait can take up to 4 hours. then she speeds through the visit. Im not a doctor so Im not sure if this is the norm for glacoma doctors or its just me. Though I never had these problems with my other doctor. She may be a fine doctor maby were not a good fit.
