Dr. Omar Ayala, MD

i met with dr. ayala three times for panic and anxiety. he would not do anything helpful and refused to talk about my panic attacks. all three times the appointment lasted over an hour even though it was scheduled for 15 minutes. he pushed me to talk about when i was sexually assaulted before i was ready and that delayed my progression in therapy. he refused to prescribe anything stronger than zoloft, despite that i had been on zoloft and over a dozen other meds before. this guy is beyond useless. don’t waste your time

I have had 5 appointments with this office and out of those 5 I have had issues with 4 of them. The first one I showed up and the receptionist kind of giggled and said we have you down for tomorrow, she apologized and said it was their fault. I took off of work to make this appointment and failed to see the humor in it. I have had a couple of these appointments where you are on a computer waiting. I understand they are busy, but some sort of a notification that the doctor at least knows you are there and waiting would go a long way. How many co-pays can you try to squeeze into a day? Maybe you should try just a couple less. Most peoples time is just as valuable as the doctors, especially if you have more than one child that you need to get places. If I'm late or miss my appointment I still get charged. If they do it there is no recourse. When the doctor's solution is to tell you maybe you should find another practice for your childs care I think that's pretty poor doctor patient… relations. Not really a solution.

This Doctor is responsible for dividing my family. He also believes in giving a child Prozac without telling the parents. This is legal but not practical.

We were referred to Dr. Ayala by a friend and I am very thankful. My daughter was in a crisis situation and we needed a therapist who would be a great listener and have compassion for her at this time of need. Dr. Ayala has been a godsend for our family. He offers each person the ability to visit with him at each appointment, which I think is very important. He also has a great patient/client relationship established immediately. He has been so helpful to our family and more importantly my daughter. We continue to see him as needed and I have already referred several families to him. Your ROCK Dr. Ayala!

I have spent a number of years with numerous therapists, psychiatrists and psychologists. After one consultation with Dr. Ayala he was able to accurately diagnose me and develop a treatment plan that has already had significant results. Dr. Ayala was able to accomplish this by listening and asking the right questions. He is a very kind and compassionate doctor.
