Dr. Onya Victoria Lemar, DPM

Dr. Lemar was competent, polite, professional and my experience with her could not have gone better. I recommend he highly. However, her receptionist, Liana was entirely incompetent, defensive and rude. I have now encountered her twice and have decided to discontinue treatment because of her receptionist. On my first scheduled appointment, when I arrived, the receptionist, Liana, told me that my appointment had been postponed and that she had called me numerous times to let me know. She was adamant that she had left voicemail messages. We confirmed that she had the correct number. I checked my phone as I stood in front of the reception desk. There were NO voicemails and there were no entries for the clinic's phone number on my "recent calls" log. Not the end of the world, even though the appointment had been confirmed numerous times by texts sent from the office that ask for confirmation, and which I confirmed. We all make mistakes. Today, 11/19/2025, I went back for another… appointment that had been scheduled a month in advance and also confirmed numerous times by text. Same show, different day. This time I had traveled from out of town, specifically for the appointment. I would not have been in Houston if not for the appointment. Again, the same receptionist tells me that she had called numerous times and left messages. Again, there were no voicemail messages and entries for the clinic on recent calls. What are the chances that this would happen twice when again the reptionist is telling that she had called numerous times and left voicemail messages. Again, she was rude, aggressive, impolite, and totally unprofessional. Furthermore, at the end of our conversation, as I was leaving, she mumbled something in Spanish, to which I did not respond. No point in wasting my time. Fortunately, there are other Podiatrists who have receptionists with better social skills or for that matter, any social skills at all. Liana is specifically the reason I will never set foot in this clinic again. I am a professional in the service industry. If my receptionist spoke to my clients the way this woman spoke to me, she would be gone that day. First impressions in the service industry are everything, and this receptionist should have no contact with clients.

I was referred to Dr. Lemar by another specialist. Upon meeting her, she immediately put my mind to rest as to whether or not should could help me with my problem. My previous doctor made me nervous about what was to come because they'd never seen a wound like mine before. I have been in Dr. Lemar's care for a year now and she is a GREAT doctor. She is a sweet person and a delight to have in any patient's corner. If you're looking for healing with actual care, she is the podiatrist to see!

Only podiatrist I’ve ever met with such a great personality to work with kids and of course Adults ! Love how she takes her time to explain xrays and never leaves me with questions ! Jessica & Angela are always so welcoming whenever we have appts and make it a breeze to get in and out ! Thanks ladies !!

Dr.Lemar and her staff are the best! They gave me all the information i needed and provided the best care I could ask for! I recommend them 100%

Dr. Lemar is great but the staff does need more training. They are nice but do not know how to deal with incoming calls for the doctor, how to follow through on labs, or to let the patient know if they need to reschedule.
