Dr. Orazio Bartolomeo, MD

I have been going to Dr Bartolomeo, MD for 31 yrs. Every time I go the staff is wonderful. I tend to be a bit of a needy patient Dr Bartolomeo is understanding and talks me through all my concerns. If you are looking for A+++ health needs this is this place you will want to go.

I think I was Dr. Bartolomeo's first patient when he came to Barrington. While I now get services at the VA, doctor Bart. remains and will always be my home doctor and will always be my second opinion doctor due to his broad medical knowledge. Thank you Dr Bart for your uplifting spirit and the wonderful handshake that tells me I in the presense of one of the GREATS. Lynn

Dr Bart is very thorough. He listens and explains until you’re satisfied and comfortable with his diagnosis. Through out many years of being his patient, I have seen how kind and loving he is with all of his patients. He’s always very careful not to expose you to X-rays or any other kind of radiation. Dr. Bart loves what he does and it’s apparent in his patient care. He’s simply the best!

Dr. Bartolomeo has been my primary doctor for almost 20 years. His level of compassion, caring and diagnostic capabilities is unsurpassed.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Bartolomeo for almost 10 years. As we have moved frequently throughout this country, as well as having spent a number of years in England, we have many doctors with which to compare him. We find him friendly with a good sense of humour, very intelligent, down to earth and quite direct -- some may say 'blunt' -- in his observations. He is skilled and highly experienced. Perhaps more importantly, he is always up-to-date on latest research findings in diverse medical/health related arenas and is happy to discuss studies. Despite other patient comments that 'its all about the money', we have found Dr. Bartolomeo to be quite concerned about the financial impact of different treatment options on his patients. At one point when my son was still uninsured and unemployed, but needed a tetanus booster (which are shockingly expensive), he waived all office visit fees, so that we paid only for the cost of the drug, itself. His staff are equally… friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere when you walk through the door, and treating you as if you are a real person instead of a 'patient'. We have never had an incident in which Dr. Bartolomeo or a staff member did not promptly follow up on outcomes of tests procedures. We highly recommend him and his office staff.

Dr Bartolomeo is funny, sweet, kind, and extremely intelligent. I'm very happy to have him as my PCP!

This doctor makes it look easy...Just like a pro should...And check this out...He is actually concerned that you get what you paid for...He is totally on his game medically and obsessed about waiting times in his office ...I have NEVER waited more than 15 minutes EVER !!! Need blood taken ?...They don't send you out the door because they do it right there...Top Notch from Doctor on down the line of staffers..

I went in for a cholesterol test and a basic cystic fibrosis carrier test (my wife is pregant and hers was positive so I had to get tested). The test should have cost about $400 but instead cost $3500 and I have to pay 10% of that. Doctors office told me that is what "you wanted" which is not true, I didn't tell them I wanted a "genetic screening test", I guess there is no way to fight the medical profession especially when teh insurance already paid them 90% of the bill. They didn't mind losing me as a patient either! unless you have an HMO, don't go to this doctor, its all about the money! Also told me that my neck issues (muscle issues, headaches) could just be solved my building the muscle!
