Dr. Orlando Garay Florete, MD

There is this one super ghetto rude talking long nailed white chick with brown curly hair in the office. She start out the gate speaking rudely to patients. I sat and listened to her be so nasty to this older white lady-who said has lung cancer. Even when the lady with cancer apologized because of memory issues, the chick in the office was still nasty in reference to assisting with scheduling appointments. The poor lady came all the way from Hastings.

I was w Dr. Florete 16 years. He is pleasant, capable, & was once responsive to patients. But the good doctor lacked follow-through and scheduling him became increasingly difficult due to his heavy travel & lecture priorities. He also failed to manage his staff; they became rude & inefficient, w high turnover. I’m appalled at some of the things I heard staffers say to one another & to patients. The front desk folks were sometimes too lazy to answer the phone, and appointment reminder calls were nonexistent. Several months ago Dr. Florete consolidated his 2 Jacksonville offices & moved into one small inadequate suite. I’ve waited in the cramped waiting room for 1 to 2 hrs to see his PA. But we patients found out a few weeks after this poorly planned relocation that Dr. Florete actually sold the practice and retired, without a word to any of us. Also, the phone system at the new location did not work for months. The Dr. concurrently closed his medical marijuana clinic ‘Compassionate… Care’ soon after referring me there, not telling me he was the owner, or that I’d be throwing away my $175 initial office visit fee since they were closing soon. He sold all of his patient info to another outfit who did not honor the initial fees already paid, as they charged another $250 to start anew. Dr Florete’s final acts re his two practices were reprehensible & unethical. He didn’t care about his patients and ‘ran out the back door’ while selling out his patients. What a fiasco! I heard that he still performs pain related procedures, but I wouldn’t trust him. I went w another pain physician.

Today I went in to see Dr. Orlando Florete for very serious concerns. Being disillusioned, so very much so, that it was giving me end of life scenario, in t - 99 days. Very scary, very restless, and very much shaking and quaking from deep inside. With trepidation, I went on, (not being able to use one leg) I was able to go through my very long list of concerns with him guiding me through with a calmness that was reassuring, and so very kind. I left the office with an entirely changed perspective and insight that was educational as well as - I was able to walk out with the returned use of my right leg! I know it is a thankless job, but I can walk today - so I just want to say - ***************THANK YOU DR. FLORETE!****************

Great concern for his patients. Great beside manners. His very hands own and caring. Extremely knowledgeable. I would travel across country for his care.

Dr. Florete is a TRUELY caring physician who listens to his patients & discusses ALL OPTIONS for treatment. I respect and TRUST him with my pain situation. I feel EXTREMELY lucky to have him as my doctor!! If you have a pain issue, I recommend Dr Florete 100 ++++++%!!!!!!!!

Dr. Florete has been my pain doctor now for almost 9 years. He is the absolute best doctor I have ever been to. Chronic debilitating pain that was not controlled properly by two surgeries and several other pain doctors, has been effectively controlled by Dr. Florete. He takes the time necessary to listen to the problem, fully explains how he plans to treat the pain, then treats the pain! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Florete, he is what I consider the best of the best doctors! He not only is a pain management physician, but also a researcher of new cutting edge pain management techniques. I definitely rate Dr. Florete a solid #10 as a pain management doctor.

Dr. Florete and the entire staff reflect true professionalism combined with a depth of care and nurturing that is becoming scarce in modern medicine. In particular, his PA Jody, and Sunbeam Rd. office staff are awesome at working with you to resolve and manage chronic pain syndromes. I deeply appreciate their continued efforts to "meet the patient's needs" while maintaining high standards. If it were not for the care I receive through this office and the self-care I continue to practice, my life would be considerably less enjoyable.

I highly recommend Dr. Florete, he is caring and understanding. He will treat you as if you are his only patient. Takes time to listen and examine your problem. Then work with you together to come up with a plan to solve your problem. I personally love this doctor, he was able to help me when no one else could.

Great at multi-diagnostic. Saved me from a procedure (written by a different Dr.)that would have left me without the use of my leg simpley by going over my symptoms personally prior to the procedure, then doing some research. He didn't just blindly follow procedure, and verify I knew what I was there for. Saved me from losing a leg to a WORTHLESS procedure, then corrected it and got me the care I needed. He also corected the original diagnosis that had led me there in the first place.
