Dr. Orlando Raymond Valdez, MD

Definitely would not recommend this doctor! My son doesn't like doctors to begin with. He was highly recommended by another pediatrician that we loved but he was leaving the area. My son had gone to that pediatrician since he was born. Well we pull up and my son instantly started crying because it was a new building. We go into the room which by now he is screaming. The doctor comes in and he mtells him he is gonna give him a shot for croup. My son doesn't like needles so he really got worked up and started screaming even more. Dr Valdez looked at me and asked if he was a behavioral issue child? I said no! He doesn't like doctors or needles and well you are a doctor and said shot! He then started talking down to me like I was an idiot! We walked out because you will not traumatized my child and talk down to me!

I recently had to take my grandson to Dr. Valdez for his yearly exam. Did not know that the doctor I had been seeing had left the practice. As soon as Dr. Valdez came in he was very unpleasant. He is very rude and unprofessional. He has no compassion or any feelings. Instead of taking care of the patient he is more interested in trying to bully the parents and belittle them. Before I took my grandson to the doctor he was so excited but whenever we left he was in tears. My grandson will never be exposed to this kind of behavior again. Atleast not by this doctor. Parents BEWARE!!!!

After seeing Dr. Valdez I would never ever recommenced a friend to take their kids to him. He was very condescending and rude to my husband and I. As a mom he had me in tears within minutes because of his determiner and "self righteous" attitude. He was unprofessional and was not knowledgeable about my daughter and her situation. His bedside manner was horrible!

My baby girl has had a little bit of a rough start- reflux, recurring ear problems, sleeping and growing problems, and recently, fever with seizures. I live in Springville, and normally take her to a local office, but after meeting Dr. Valdez a couple of times, I'm considering making him her primary care physician. I took her to him once when our regular place was closed, and found him to be very personable. He most recently saw her at the hospital when she had two seizures in one day. The people I met who worked there seemed to have a high opinion of him. To me he seemed very knowledgeable, down-to-earth, friendly, and above all, to really care about his job. He actually took the time to talk to me, make sure I understood, and even asked if I had any questions, instead of taking 5 seconds to slap down a diagnosis and then quickly usher me out the door like a lot of other docs seem to do. Both times I've seen him I've been very impressed, so I think the short drive out of town… might be well worth it for my kids.
