Dr. Othon Wiltz, MD

Dr. Wiltz is highly skilled, compassionate, and answers questions clearly and completely.

I was referred to Dr Wiltz. When he entered the examining room, he put on his continuous smile and sat on a stool very close to my face. He repeatedly asked what was wrong with me. Finally, I said, "I am a lawyer. You are the doctor. I don't know what is wrong with me. The best I can offer is to describe my symptoms accurately (which I was attempting to do)". I explained that a surgeon who previously operated on me said I might have an internal prolapse. Dr W responded that if I had a prolapse(s), I would know, because it would be hanging out of my rectum. His charge for the initial visit of $566 or so, exclusive of the charge for an exam procedure, was the highest I have incurred. Fortunately, I have good health insurance. After my visit with Dr Wiltz, another specialist had me undergo a defecography diagnostic procedure. During the follow-up visit, he stated, "Your description of symptoms fit to a "T" the results of the procedure." In addition, the radiologist's… report identified internal prolapse(s).

Pros: accurate, effective, and friendly! Cons: too many patients & long waits.

This doctor does not return calls, schedules tests without explaining reasons for same, and has little concern for the patient's appointment time. I do not recommend this doctor.
