The minute I walked into her office, after a twenty minute wait, she walked into the exam room and rudely asked 'what are we there for". She did not examine my facial blemishes, the reason I contacted her office. She promptly said "what was she there for? and said she could not help me, turned and walked out of the room. Did I pay a $40 co pay for this rudeness and unprofessional attitude?

I've been seeing Dr. Dimson since 2017 when I went in and had a mole removed since it had changed shape. It's a good thing I did go and see her as it was cancerous, and I had to have a decent sized chunk cut out of my ankle. I've been back to see her every six months to have a full body check to make sure I don't have any unusual changes. (Her recommendation, not mine, to come back and see her every six months.) Dr. Dimson isn't a doctor with the warmest and fuzziest bedside manner. That's fine. I don't need warm and fuzzy; I just need a good doctor who know's what she's doing and acts somewhat professional . I don't do rude, rushed, and condescending, though. I feel like my recent appointment with her was all of the above. My six-month appointment wasn't until next month, but I decided to go see her a bit early as I had some skin concerns and a changing mole. When she walked into the exam room, she asked me why I was there as "Didn't she just see me." I told her why I was there a… bit early, she looked at the mole, snapped at me it was perfectly normal, and "could remove it if I wanted." I said it was bothering me, she removed it (while saying she actually wouldn't know if it was normal until the biopsy), and when I reiterated some of the questions I had concerning how to treat the dry skin on my face and told her the products I was currently using (as well as the precautions I take when I'm out in the sun) and asked if she had some better recommendations, she rolled her eyes, snapped she's never heard of the products as she only knows about prescriptions, (What dermatologist hasn't heard of Cetaphil and Meladerm?), and said there wasn't anything she could do "unless I was rich as I was responsible for the damage to my skin I created years ago and that it was probably also changing hormones" She then snapped to make sure I cancelled my appointment next month and to not come back for at least a year unless the office called. (I guess she's changed her mind on the importance of every six months.) My appointment with her lasted under 10 minutes. I left the office feeling shamed, rushed, and feel as if she blew off my concerns. I will not go back to see her and won't recommend her to others. However, I do want to say her front desk staff is warm, professional, and friendly, the one positive.

Always nice and concerned

I made an appointment with the Doctor. I showed at the time filled out the necessary Pre appointment paperwork. After a short wait and almost to the minute my name was called. Dr. Dimson asked questions that have her insight into me personally and connected that information to her medical task. Dr. Dimson noticed skin tags and recommended I have them removed giving me the option of having that procedure done on the spot or at a future appointment, which I felt was very considerate and provided a solution I needed. I have had a follow up for other concerns and the same professionalism was evident was exhibited by the staff as well. I would recommend Dr. Otobia Dimson. I rate this Practice 5 Star for Service and Professionalism.

Did not seem very caring at all, like some people have said, seemed to be very short with answers and pretty much told us that there's nothing that she could do.

I had a simple question about treatment of a Keloid. She doesn't treat these. I asked for a referral and simply stated that it was simple. The staff immediately begin scolding me. I DON'T WANT THIS TYPE OF TREATMENT. UNPROFESSIONAL! PERIOD. This is 2016....there is a reason for so many unflattering reviews. ADIOS! Being kind is better, so figure it out. Thanks

My husband has gone to doctors and dermatologists for 15 years for a skin rash issue. A neighbor recommended Dr Dimson. She ran tests and discovered that he is allergic to formaldehyde! She gave him a list of products that have formaldehyde that he avoids and his rash is almost non existent. I love the fact that she worked to resolve the issue instead of only treat the symptom. He does NOT live on steroids anymore! Excellent Doctor

Dr Dimson does and exceptional job of looking for any spots that may form and so far the visits have been so very pleasant. The staff is excellent as well. I highly recommend Dr Dimson to anyone in need of her services.
