I was referred to a Dr at this facility only to find out he one of several at this Neurologists Office. One of which I had serious problems. I was told, that THIS Doctor, that I was referred to, felt IT WOULD BE IN MY BEST INTEREST TO SEEK TREATMENT ELSEWHERE. OH HOW TRUE THAT IS! Upon seeing how a patient in SERIOUS need adjustment to one’s medication is neglected? I found this out upon seeking treatment from a different doctor in this facility. A different neurologist at that same facility who prescribed medication that caused serious side affects, leaving me non responsive & drooling, unable to wake up & needed an adjustment to the the prescribed medication ASAP. This was stated by nurses, staff & office manager! THREE WEEKS unanswered messages from me AND staff to this doctor! I was left hanging with medication that needed adjusting & could not be taken off of suddenly because of a possibility of having seizures. I found & being treated by another FANTASTIC neurologist that was… referred to me by my heart doctor. I am being treated for major neurological disorders. This neurologist & doctors that don’t leave patients, in serious need, hanging-in-the-balance. It’s Good to Know that THIS ENTIRE FACILITY OF DOCTORS have no empathy & rather just throw prescriptions at patients regardless of the drug’s reactions on the patient. Our medical establishment needs a MAJOR adjustment?????? ??IT IS IN YOUR BEST INTEREST TO SEEK TREATMENT ELSEWHERE????

I went to see Dr. Shah at my daughter's request because I have severe RLS and was recently diagnosed with advanced Lymphedema. The wraps I now I have to wear to compress my legs have sent my RLS into the stratosphere and the .5 mg Pramipexole my GP had me on twice a day wasn't even touching it. It felt like I was standing on a live wire. So I agreed to meet Dr. Shah even though I was sure a neurologist was not the right doctor for me. He was kind and quiet spoken, very easy bed side manner and humorous. He actually listened to me. A rate commodity in doctors today. He had several suggestions for me and we decided on a course of action together. He also talked to me about controlling the pain of RLS which I had never considered before. I just wanted my legs to STOP moving. So, I am on a whole new regimen of medications and I am awfully glad I accepted my daughter's advice to meet with him. Dr. Shah is a genuinely nice young man. His assistant seems very harried, and I feel she may… need some help but that is just a personal impression. There was some confusion on the medications getting sent to the pharmacy but that was all cleared up in a day. The office was exceptionally clean and open. The front desk personnel were very friendly and considerate of my slow gait due to the lymphedema. Overall, I am extremely pleased I went to Gilbert Neurology and met Dr. Shah.

I have a rare disorder called Dysautonomia with Orthostatic Intolerance. I should be going to Mayo but they wont take my insurance. Dr. Shah has been a God Send. He understands my disease front to back and has gotten me off many pills other neuros had put me on. He has even gotten my restless legs under control. Also this man understands pain is a problem with neurological disorders and unlike most of the doctors in the world today he actually listens and works with you to find the right pain medication to alleviate your pain instead of just saying "there is an opioid addiction in American I won't help you". Thank you Doctor Shah for your knowledge, your understanding, and your willingness to take on this disabled hard case.

Called THREE times requesting help & suggestions from Dr. Shah regarding complications I was having to the medication strength he prescribed. When his personal assistant FINALLY called she said that the medication should be addressed & she tried to get ahold of Dr. Shah but said he wasn’t answering the call. I understand he could have been with a patient. She said she would continue to try until 5 pm & get back to me. Well NOTHING happened! I have had problems with getting refills from his office. The assistant says it’s hard to teach him. If a Neurologist doesn’t care about problems the medications he prescribes to his patients, then he can’t be very Conscientious about his medical profession. If there is a problem; either with staff or doctor, it isn’t a good or trusting medical office. That being said I will need to see my primary doctor for my future help with my body tremors.

I saw Dr. Shah after recently being diagnosed with essential tremors, not Parkinson's and only issues with writing. He spent most of the visit pushing brain surgery, when I asked my Primary Dr. she and my Oncologist said I am not a candidate for brain surgery as I do not have the arm, head and leg tremors. He prescribed a new med. when I asked him if it was compatible with my chemo med., he said "should be" well...IT ISN'T !! Too bad he couldn't be bothered to check . He basically just confirmed what my other Doctors' have told me but never helped me.
