Dr. Pamela Lofink Kridgen, MD

This doctor is negligent- and doesn't care about her patients! I have had three children now my 4th is on the way! I'm currently in the hospital and she is my doctor ?? I have been bleeding for 2 days with clotting - inconsistent, but still I have had 3 kids and I have never even had a bloody show prior to labor this is bright red blood clots and they "aren't concerned" took me out of labor and delivery and moved me to the general admissions haven't monitored the baby all day, and I have been written off wmby every one because of her word, she scolded me and treated me quite poorly because I called in the morning and she said I could probably head in, but unless I'm in rip roaring labor get myself together to come in- I made her aware I needed to arrange for childcare so It may be a little. I didn't make it in until into the evening because we couldn't find anyone to take the kids. She didn't come in until the next morning and spent the majority of her SHORT time scolding me about how… I should have been there earlier, said she wouldn't induce me because I'm 'only' 3 cm, admitted she didn't know why I was bleeding. And since my contractions weren't consistent enough for her she's not worried. (Yet she still gave me a steroid shot to develop my babies lungs for impending preterm labor) tells me I have to stay for 24 hours to get the second shot. And then grabbed her bag Ina. Most pretentious manner and strutted out- I'm 37 weeks I have three small children and currently have childcsre, my gut is telling me I'll be in labor within 3-5 days MAX, so why not induce? Ive never gotten contractions like this prior to real labor, never bled until I was post partum, especially CLOTS!! Im beyond upset with my care and scared for my child. And no one will listen to me. I'm being looked at like a stupid young mom.

Dr. Kridgen for my first pregnancy was knowledgeable, but as others have stated didn’t have the most excellent bedside manor (2017) when I was pregnant with my son. She was always professional however, and I had great respect for her based off of what the other obs at the practice would say about her: her true experience as a doctor. I’d take a great physician for myself and baby and could get past some lack of empathy or her seeming impatient at times. Fast forward to this past year. Pregnant again, and my first visit with her I thought, who are you!? She has been a changed woman this year, and I actually booked with her on purpose a couple of times because I enjoyed my checkups with her. I’m now anxiously awaiting a csection, and today they called to say it would be with her... (she also safely delivered my very large son vaginally in 2017!) and I have a feeling of relief. She’s the most experienced doctor at the practice, and has been so kind, reassuring, and just lovely this year.… I’m praying all goes well with this delivery too, but I plan on continuing to see her in the future as well!

Nobody should have to wait for 45 past their scheduled time for a doctor who then made no apology. Sge appears very aloof and rough. Robotic comes to mide and after 2 vists with her I am not happy after having a wonderful Gyne for years!

She spent quality time with me and listened to my concerns and offered options if they did not work.

I specifically looked for a doctor who specializes in menopause issues and chose Kridgen. Although the office staff were very polite and promptly took me to an examining room, I then waited over an hour for the doctor. She was a little defensive when I asked about the lateness, and rough during the pelvic exam

She is the most insensitive doctor I have ever been too. She doesn't listen to her patients and made me feel awful. I don't even know how she is a doctor. Avoid her at all cost!

OK, I am sure she is well-trained and might have some experiance by now but I don't understand why people take a profession that they don't like, especially the job that involves people lives..First, she doesn't spent time with you, she answers your questions like--come on get out of my face attitude.. When we moved to Pittsburgh, I also wanted a good doctor and she was on the list. After seeing her many times during my pregnancy, I have decided to see other doctors in her group cause she was not spending her so called valueable time with a patiance especially first time mom, forget about the medical terms and considitons she is pretty annoyed if you ask questions to her. So I was hoping to have one of the other doctors during my delivery but unfortunately she was the one on call that day. During my delivery, she only came and check me two times (the last visit was the delivery stage), she gave me pitocin without asking--I got epidoral so she might have assumed that I would get… pitocin too. But the worse part is that she said "oh since this is your first delivery it will take time for you to deliver so I'll see you in couple of hours..Guess what, she came 4 hours later by an emergency call. My baby was already decented from the birth canal and my contractions were so frequent that we called the nurse immediately, When she came, you can see her face so panicy and yelling everybody like get out of the way...Luckly we might have caught it quickly otherwise my baby would be sitting in the birth canal longer (I am not even sure how long the baby has been waiting there)..I have to say that nurses who were on call there saved my baby's live!! So if you are looking for a doctor who truely spend time and take care of you, please find somebody who do his/her work from the heart..

I have been seeing Dr. Kridgen for 10+ years and highly recommend her to all my friends and family.

Tried to discuss medical history with her, and she looked at me like "who cares". Told me I didn't need Fosamax bone density was fine, and there were too many complications associated it. I asked for a follow up bone density just to make sure that I wouldn't lose too much bone mass. Dhe rolled her eyes and said that I could have another one in 2 years. When my 2 years were up, she argued with me that I didn't need it. I persisted and she finally said fine, but you don't need it! I got it and had lost significant bone mass and am now osteoporotic. No phone call from the office to let me know, in fact after calling her office multiple times and being told that the report is on the doctor's desk, she will call you as soon as she gets a chance to discuss it with you. I asked if they could mail me a copy of the report, I was told it would be a violation of my HIPPA rights to mail me my own results. They told me that the doctor would have to hand it to me, I volunteered to sit in… the office and wait if I could get it that way , I was told no, that would not be possible.I finally went to the place I got my scan and got a copy. I referred myself for treatment and was told the best they could do now was to maintain what I had, but the bone loss could not be turned around. Never a call from her! Even after I told her office how angry I was and to please have her call me....no call!
