Dr. Pamela Jean Mccool, DO

I had her as my OBGYN. After I gave birth I reported back two times in the next week due to severe pain. I was turned away and told it was normal and to come back for my 6 week follow up. Well when I went to my follow up, I was still having severe pain all day. She came in and took one look and said I had a labial adhesion which was the source of my pain. She decided the best way to fix it would be to do an in office minor surgery with numbing agents. The first try, I felt everything, so they stuck me with more needles down there to try and numb it more. It didn't work the second or third time either. I was almost screaming with the pain. So we decided to stop and she told me I would have to get an appointment to go under. She prescribed my hormonal cream for down there to try and separate it but gave no medicine for the open wound and the pain. The numbing wore off in half an hour, and the drive home was an hour and a half so most of the drive I was crying in pain. I got a second… opinion and ended up changing obgyn's due to the fact the second obgyn said he would never attempt to do something like this in office due to not knowing how deep the adhesion actually goes. Safe to say I never went back.

The ongoing doctor/patient experience I have had with Dr. McCool is, by far, the best that I've had with any doctor (not just OBGYN). She truly listens to you. She truly CARES about you. I have never felt rushed through an appointment. I feel very confident that I am receiving the best care possible. Her staff are wonderful. It's easy to schedule appointments, get call-backs if needed, and everyone in that office always has a smile on their faces. I would absolutely recommend Dr. McCool!
