Dr New and Methodist are the best!

I have seen Dr. New over a period of years where she treated me for an Astrocytoma at the T-10-11 area of my spine.She encouraged me and never let me quit. You have to wait to see her but when you are in her office she pays attention to nothing but you.

Pam New is a brilliant, courageous physician who devotes virtually her entire life to her patients, commuting to her home and family in San Antonio only 1-2 times a month. She is tender, caring and willing to partner with her patients for the treatment path they feel is appropriate under the circumstances. She is also very cautious in her approach to treatment. She cared for my husband and gave him many more months of a high quality of life than the odds gave him. I have NO IDEA why the 2009 reviewer would come up with the comments they did.

Dr. New may come as a recommended doctor in a very prestigious hospital, however, she is a very incompetent doctor who never communicates with her patients or even seems to be familiar with their case. After every regularly scheduled MRI her office schedules an MRI follow up appointment. When you show up Dr. New may ask a question or two along the lines of how are you doing, but nothing more, even if ones response includes a list of problems. Her only response to any question or comment is "mmm, I see." and she will not show you your own MRI unless you refuse to leave until you are shown it, at which point she will ask her assistant to help her use a computer to access the MRI, because she doesn't know how to use a computer, and even once they get to the record, she is unable to speak about it or answer any questions, and reads comments in the report form the radiologist with surprise. IT is very obvious that she doesn't even bother to look at her patients MRI's.
