Dr. Pamela Sue Simpson, MD

Dr. Simpson is an excellent oncologist who diagnosed that I was in 3rd stage Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Her knowledge, competency, compassion, care, and perseverance in treating me is wonderful. She has a comprehensive and broad-based approach to treatment. Her positivity, compassion, patience, and concern inspires me to continue to fight cancer. The breast cancer spread to my brain causing a brain tumor, subsequent surgery, and radiation with MRIs on my brain every 3 months. Dr. Simpson sends me for PET scans to assure that my body from the neck down is cancer free. Due to the lesions on my brain, Dr. Simpson put me back on immunotherapy (Keytruda) which breaks the barrier between the body and the brain. The most recent result of the MRI on my brain showed that four of the lesions had decreased in size while the fifth one remained the same size. I believe that good report was due to the Keytruda. Dr. Simpson spends time with me and explains medical terms in layman's terms, so that… I can understand them. She is thorough and coordinates with my other doctors to push forward the best practice of providing excellent medical treatment. She also treats me with dignity and respect. She treats me as a person, and not just the cancer. She continues to do medical research to help me. She reaches out to my other doctors to coordinate the best healthcare plan for me. She communicates with sensitivity and warmth. When she first diagnosed my cancer, she put me at ease that it was treatable and curable. She told me to "fight like a tiger," and she has been cheering me on since. The oncology nurses are competent and make you feel comfortable when giving the immunotherapy. I highly recommend Dr. Pamela Simpson and Bay Hematology/Oncology. I go to the Centreville, MD office because it is closer to my home. When I know that my oncologist cares about me and my healing, it is wonderful to have that support. She is a great oncologist!

She treated me the person not just the patient. She listened and truly cared

Upon walking in the door, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and delightfully humorous. Cancer is stressful; the staff, (each and everyone of them), skillfully and with great humor eased my burden. They are wonderful; they not only know how to treat the cancer, they know how to treat the patient. I would highly recommend the practice of Dr. Pamela Simpson for anyone needing cancer treatment services.

Worst doctor ever. Doesn’t diagnosis correct. Ignored every symptom I told her.

Dr. Simpson actually LISTENS, which is an admirable trait for a doctor to possess.

To put it simply, Dr. Simpson saved my life and will always be my superwoman. I was sent to the hospital due to very low hemoglobin. I had no idea how serious the situation was especially since I was symptomless. The hospital staff and physicians seemed to just as confused as I was. After being in ICU for a day and no one was able to figure out what was going on with me, the hospital reached out to Dr. Simpson who cam in a saved the day. She was confident and made me feel at ease. Now she always tell the story how when she met me, I looked like Casper the ghost (I am a black woman) and she gave me some color. I will always be grateful for what she did for me.
