He completed an internship in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, followed by a diagnostic radiology residency at Robert Wood Johnson/Rutgers University at Newark Beth Israel Hospital in NJ. After completing a fellowship in neuroradiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, he joined Northwell Health system in Long Island before joining Columbia's Department of Radiology.
Dr. Sideras has a passion for resident, fellow, and medical student education and is the program director for the Neuroradiology Fellowship. His other academic interests include non-invasive vascular imaging, neuro-oncologic imaging, imaging techniques, and incorporation of artificial intelligence in imaging. He has contributed to several publications and book chapters and has presented scientific work at national meetings.
Dr Sideras is a junior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology and holds membership in the American College of Radiology, American Society of Spine Radiology, North American Spine Society, Radiologic Society of North America, Eastern Neuroradiologic Society, New York Roentgen Society and the American Roentgen Ray Society.
