Paola Pergami, MD, is a pediatric neurologist at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and an Associate Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine. She specializes in pediatric stroke and rehabilitation.
Dr. Pergami earned her medical degree from the University of Pavia, Italy, and her PhD from the University of Milan, Italy. She completed her Pediatric Neurology Fellowship at UPMC in Pittsburgh.
She works with the International Pediatric Stroke Study (IPSS) to research seizures, inflammation, and treatments for stroke in children. Her expertise includes stroke care, brain imaging, and stroke recovery. She has written over 150 research articles and presentations.

0 stars. This this the worst “doctor” ever. She saw my child for 15 min and charged more than 300 dollars on top of that she was 45 minutes late. No bedside manner; she didn’t care What I was explaining; keep interrupting me and didn’t want to listen. I’m an RN myself and have being dealing with many doctors; I Have never seen a medical professional this rude and unprofessional. Keep away from This person. Waste of time and money.

Dr. Pergami is extremely unprofessional and talked to our child without me ( mother) being present, questioning a ongoing treatment for complex partial epilepsy, making statements on what to do although she had no knowledge of who my daughter is or what she needs. Terrible judgement and the worst Doctor I have EVER dealt with at G’town University Hospital.

I have worked with Dr. Pergami in regards to a student at our school. She is wonderful! The fact that she would speak to the school nurse tells you that she truly cares for the children in their day to day life.
