Dr. Paramvir S Rahal, MD

I have been a patient of this gastroenterologist for over five years, and my experience has consistently been excellent. Despite maintaining a very busy practice, he has always made time to see me when I was in distress, which speaks volumes about his dedication to patient care. He is extremely competent, as well as kind and compassionate—qualities that are not always easy to find together. I have always felt that my concerns were taken seriously and addressed thoroughly. Equally important, his office staff has been responsive and accessible whenever I needed assistance, which makes a significant difference in ongoing care. For patients requiring routine procedures such as endoscopies or colonoscopies, the convenience of having a surgery center located right next to his office cannot be overstated. It streamlines the entire process and reduces stress. I have had several procedures performed in his surgery center. I would confidently recommend him to anyone in need of a skilled and… caring gastroenterologist.

He ramble’s on and never directly answered my questions. Before I went to him I was having “Heartburn “, he starts by telling me immediately that when he does the scope he will get the answers he needs? Ok, I guess… after the scope , he found very little wrong or very little to say, other than he performed a procedure I wasn’t fully aware, stretching the esophagus? Now I’ve been sick and loosing weight (never had the weight loss issue) when I returned for the follow up and told him about losing 16 lbs in two weeks after my procedure is causing me problems that I didn’t have BEFORE the scope/procedure. I had to go to the ER because I was getting worse. Now I have acute colitis and acute gastritis. Never had that before. I will now request a second opinion.

After the procedure the findings were issues related to acid reflux. Doctor started me on a healthier diet and medication and my condition has changed for the better. I highly recommend Dr. Rahal to my family, friends, & especially fellow veterans.

Operates like a fast food restaurant, they care about the volume of procedures they do, they don't care about you as a patient neither does his staff. I've been calling for the last three days to verify my appointment and the receptionist keeps putting me on hold and hanging up on me at the end. If you leave a voice message they don't return the call. Visit at your own risk.

Dr. Rahal listened to me. He was able to diagnose my problem where others had failed. I struggled with abdomen pain, nausea, and vomiting for seven years. Some said it was anxiety. Dr. Rahal is my hero. Thank you Dr. Rahal. I'm now pain-free. He stood up for me. I highly recommend this doctor.

Care was outstanding.

The VA referred me to Dr. Rahal for a screening...I had an endoscopy done-without sedation. I made it through. I will now have a colonoscopy performed there. I am 100% Permanent and Total disabled US Navy veteran on social security, so I do not pay out-of-pocket. Dr. Rahal is simply outstanding. I don't know about all these negatives. We should all be grateful that we have medical care at all, not to mention the care from Dr. Rahal and the service of his staff. Thank you.

I went to Dr. Rahals office on a referral from my insurance. I read all of the negative reviews online but I thought he can not possibly be that bad and still be practicing. I really needed a colonoscopy due to some very serious issues with a parasitic infection from a mission trip to Mexico. Upon arrival to the surgery center in serious pain and bleeding heavily following their colonoscopy preparation routine. I told his staff and their response was that they could give me an adult diaper. I sat in a chair in a gown in excruciating pain for a long time. The staff said that they would give me Bendryl to help me relax, that never happened. After a while of me sitting there crying they finally moved me to a bed. In an effort to get me to shut up they wheeled me into the exam room and knocked me out. I woke up bleeding seriously with severe pain to my rectal area and in my leg. There was definitely something very wrong and I repeatedly pleaded for them to send me to the emergency room and… was ignored and dismissed with condescending remarks about how they didn’t think that anything was wrong and the emergency room visit was not warranted in their opinion. I was bleeding at a much greater degree than before and I was literally put into a wheelchair and pushed out the door crying and bleeding. The Pain was so bad, I was screaming in the car. My sister called 911, prompted by fear that this much pain and stress on my body would cause me to have another stroke, and I was taken by ambulance to Mercy hospital. I required pain meds and IV fluids and bed rest for over a week just from a colonoscopy. The ER physician stated that Dr Rahal should have indeed admitted me into emergency room. Do not use this Doctor. He does not care and neither does his staff.

Dr Rahal is a great doctor, he took care of my mom. Staff was very nice and friendly. He explained in length and took his time to see her. Was very happy after meeting Dr Rahal.thanks

HI. I was brought here to Dr. Rehal by my parents when I was a child for my ulcerative colitis. Amidst a couple of general appointments Dr. Rahal suggested an endoscopy on me to check the condition of my disease. The thought of having an unfamiliar person do that type of procedure on me scared me but my parents told me that I had no other option becasue I was sick. My parents and I prepared ourselves for the operation with the laxatives and the fast from food for three or so days prior to the appointment like is done for standard endoscopy's I guess. We showed up to the appointment, checked in, got an iv going, and I was put in a bed and rolled back to the operating room. As I was rolled into the dark lit room I was thinking that I should already be asleep for the operation. A few minutes pass and I hear a man behind me ask me if I am ready to start the operation and I panic, I'm thinking I should be asleep by now no I am definitely not ready to start the operation but a fear set in to… me. I nodded my head allowing him to start the operation but I did not say yes. About five seconds after he starts the operation I fall asleep and wake up in the nurses waiting room waiting for the sleeping drug to wear off. I do not feel comfortable looking back now going back to this doctor and I will never recommend this doctors office to anyone. I hope this helps somebody make a decision on choosing a doctor.
