Dr. Parisa Heidari, MD

Parisa Heidari, M.D. is a board-certified neurologist specializing in vascular neurology. She provides comprehensive care to adults who have experienced a stroke or brain injury. She is a member of the comprehensive team at Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute at Hackensack University Medical Center and Palisades University Medical Center. She is also an assistant professor of Neurology at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.

She earned her medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Science in Iran, ranking in the top 1 percent of her class. Dr. Heidari went on to complete her neurology residency at the University of Saarland in Homburg, Germany—where she was recognized as Neurology Resident of the Year—and the University of Vermont. She served as a cerebrovascular post-doctoral research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NINDS) and completed a vascular neurology fellowship at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Heidari has …contributed several research publications to medical literature, including articles in peer-reviewed journals, abstracts and poster presentations. She is fluent in English, German and Farsi.

Dr. Heidari is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Academy of Neurology, the American Stroke Association, the American Society of Neuroradiology, the Vascular and Interventional Society, the European Society of Neurosonology and Cerebral Hemodynamics, the German Society of Neurology and the European Neurointensive Society.
