My son had his first and last appointment today. 8 minutes he saw him and prescribed him an anxiety medication, without looking at his file because my son hadn't finished filling out his new patients paperwork when they called him in. Obviously isn't a Dr. who cares about people, just big pharmacy. Saw 2 others go in for these mini 10 minute appointments. How can you help anyone in 10 minutes? Also, his first time seeing him, they wanted 3 students to be in with him. People with anxiety don't like to be around strangers, duh fdoc!

Be aware that if you want him to fill out paperwork for your company he will charge you out of your own pocket $150.00 sep. from your Health Benefits. And then he will not fill out the paperwork correctly. He just throws meds at you and does not really care what is wrong with you. He does not listen at all. I had to go to his office and straighten out the paperwork (which was still wrong), something he could have spoken to me over the phone. but charged me extra for seeing him for 10 mins. This person is a rip off. If you need someone to see. DO NOT SEE THIS PERSON.

My son’s doctor who is prescribing the WRONG medicine for his condition, he wouldn’t listen to US as parents just because my son is of age.

I went to him due to sleeping disorder and anxiety. I explained that I had already been tested for adhd , which came back as positive, but was told that it was inconclusive due to the fact that the last dr gave me an medication that caused me to become very depressed. and ws taken off that but never tested again. Dr gurnani tried me on lunesta first, but I explained that I was still waking several times a night. He believed I was a perfectionist. (ahem) my life shows that i do try to do things right, but Im more of a failure than a perfectionist. so he told me to read a book on perfectionism and put me on a medication for colododine, After trying this with absolutely no affect, he upped the dose. and againno sleep.! So I looked up this colonodine only to find it was for withdrawls! and hypertention. My blood pressure is a normal low, I do however take mild amounts of perscribed pain medications which, if I was having an issue with, should have been mentioned to me by my pan management… dr or at least by dr gurnani himself!. needless to say, I am willing to give him one more chance! , but if he is not honest with me on why he feels im not sleeping, i will definatley find yet another dr.!

I have been his patient for a number of years and I do not know what I would do without him. He is a psychiatrist but I think of him as a therapist. He has helped me so much. He understands what medications help me.

After 9 years of treatment and the death of her father, my sister cancelled an appointment due to a 103 fever. She had only missed a few other sessions. His OFFICE staff told her if she didn't come in she would be terminated as a patient. Unethical is an understatement and after reading reviews, this is a common pattern. As a psychologist I find this appalling and am shocked he continues to be licensed with the apparent harm he causes patients. This was not a therapeutic move, as she was told harshly she was costing them money. Deplorable! Obviously he is in the wrong profession.

My wife was too sick to go to appt. And called to cancel. They told her to get in there or she will be dropped as a patient. Due to her costing him money. The office person told my wife to suck it up ( she has a fever, flu, and is really weak and tired) and drive herself in . we will never go to him again . this is an awful was to treat someone who suffers from depression among other things. She can't stop crying now. Horrible thing for him to do, it's actually sickening to me

Absolutely the worst doctor in Citrus county! This doctor has no compassion whatsoever, its just about the money and how many pills he can write you. If you are looking for serious help, this is not the doctor to do it. This is a very bad doctor and they should take his license away from him!

Longest appointment with this doctor was 15 minutes. Assumes diagnosis without the necessary assessment. If you need psychotherapy do not schedule appointment with this doctor he will see you only long enough to prescribe medicine and schedule the next 10 minute appointment.

I was dropped by Dr Gurnani as a patient because I missed appointments over the last 8 years of being his patient. I called to reschedule and was told my case was closed and he would not see me anymore. Dr Gurnani has given me medications for 8 year and he just cut me off. Just a heads up before choosing him as a doctor.
