Dr. Parul Khator, MD

My optometrist recommended Dr. Khator for my second iridotomy because the holes created in my first laser procedure with a different doctor had closed up. Dr Khator has a good bedside manner and was very professional. Her staff was fantastic as well. I’m happy with the results and have had no issues with my eyes since.

I was recommended a preventive glaucoma surgery in both eyes. The experience with Doc and practice was all fine until after the surgery. My eye sight is not the same any more. I see three images of any bright light. Staying indoors on a bright sunny day with windows letting the light in is horrible, as the glare is too much and overlaps any objects/beings in doors that I was able to see clearly before. Have complained about this to the practice but they DO NOT CARE as they have the fees already paid to them. Tried reaching Dr. Khatoor multiple times but not once did she care to come in contact and listen to the complain. Rather wants me to come in and pay her another $100 to tell her exactly what i would tell her over the phone only to ask me to come visit again for dilating my eyes. None of this is going to help as they have created another 'hole' or outlet in my eye to allow for drainage but made it so big that light is penetrating through it giving me double vision each eye. This… practice is the worst.

Dr. Khator is pleasant, positive, caring, thorough, listens well, explains clearly, and inspires confidence. I would recommend her wholeheartedly. She has performed two trabeculectomies (for glaucoma) and a cataract surgery for me.

Do not let Dr. Khators speed in talking fool you - she is extremely thorough, professional and willing to go beyond the normal checks if problems present themselves. I had an appointment due to numbness, blurred vision and scalp pain. I had an MRI scheduled immediately with an nuerology appointment right afterwards, all before I left the office. Couple this with the quality of her clinical notes, and it makes Dr. Khator my ophthalmologist of choice.
