Dr. Paterno Son Jurani, MD

Excellent Dr. Have been going to Dr. Jurani for 7 years.

He listens to me. He always remembers what I might be having trouble with. I have gone to him many years, and I his accent has improved. Or I have improved in listening. I have no trouble there. Wait times were horrible but in the last year the office has been made so highly computerized, and the learning curve is over. I get out of there in a little over an hour, which is very much improved.

This guy is a piece of work. Shortly after I had a checkup with him, one of my medications that he regularly prescribed to me and I unfortunately overlooked during that visit expired. I mentioned this to my pharmacist and he suggested calling or stopping by the doctor's office to explain the problem and ask him to update the medication as this was common practice with other Doctors in the area that the pharmacy dealt with. To my frustration, Dr. Jurani would not do this unless I made another appointment to see him. I argued with the staff to no prevail as Dr. Jurani would not discuss it with me unless I again, made an appointment with him and paid his $95 fee. I finally gave in and saw him and expressed my anger and dissatisfaction at which time he had no good explanation for not updating my medication. He just gave some lame excuse and said something to the effect of "that's what the pharmacy says." After all this stress was over and I was done with my $95 prescription update update,… I could only chalk this one up to Doctor doesn't really give a crap about me or our relationship and the fact that I just saw him a couple weeks earlier, but that he was an opportunist and would charge me any chance he got especially when he has the upper hand. On thing I did though, was ask him for a referral for this particular condition so he would get the message that he may be able to get over on me once, but that I wouldn't stand for it again. I am now changing Doctors for sure and this is coming from a patient of his for over 10 years. I guess this instance really was the last straw of a whole lot of other problems with this Doc. If you want a doctor that only cares about his pocketbook and averages about a 2 hour wait, then Dr. Jurani is your man, but if you want a good Doctor, then I suggest you look elsewhere!

The staff is rude. You will wait at least 2 hours in the waiting room and when you do get called to go into the exam room, you will wait for another hour for the doctor to come in. I understand the need to speek spanish, but I am not. When I am standing there waiting, the staff continues to speek spanish. I think this is very rude. If you need to make an appointment, it will take at least a month before you can get in to see the doctor. Even if it is a follow up, to find out about test results. I don't beleive this is the doctors fault, but he needs to clean house and get a professional staff, because they are very rude and unprofessional.

This Doctor has terrible communication skills. He did not treat my parents with respect. He would not answer questions for my mother who has been under his care for chronic pain. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. Avoid at all costs!

This office is a joke. The staff there are beyond rude. i was on my lunch brake which I had already told them and they had taken in patients before me that came in after me and had a later appt than what I had. When I had to pay my co - pay I handed them a bigger bill and they told me they are not allowed to break any bills over a 20, mind you I was there because of back problems and severe back pain and they told me to go acroos the street so I can break my bill. My wait in the waiting room was litteraly about 2 hours and then in the examining room another half hour so my wait time was all together about 2 and a half hours. Then I was told that I need a MRI and nobody from the office got back to me.This place is a joke and does not care about your well- being
