Dr. Patrice Tracyann Richardson, MD

Dr. Richardson joined our practice in August 2009. She graduated from Meharry Medical College and completed her residency training at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. Her areas of expertise include counseling families and patients using motivational interviewing. She has family in Durham and enjoys her wonderful nephew, Zachary who is seven. In her free time Dr. Richardson likes traveling, cooking and eating, dancing, shopping, participating in mission trips, and spending time with family. She chose Pediatrics because she loves the opportunity to promote healthy habits and to work with families to establish routines that will help prevent avoidable diseases that a great deal of adults suffer from (like obesity, high blood pressure, etc.) When asked if she could be any super hero who would she be? Dr. Richardson said Superwoman. She was very functional and inconspicuous, but was able to rise to the occasion when it was needed.
