Dr. Patricia Ann Bowyer, MD

I met Dr Bowyer through a friend of my mother, after myself and mother had called ALL local Dr's, therapist's, psychiatrists. I was stuck in my home because of panic disorder for 10 years. After speaking with Dr bowyer, she was the ONLY one who took the time to leave her home an hour early to come to my home and help me. We had to try many medications, a lot of ups and downs, and her understanding and patience is really what helped me to get out of my own prison. Now, over 10 years later, I have a life, have been married for nearly 5 years and have a 3 year old son. I would recommend this doctor to everyone and anyone, her compassion and willingness to go the extra mile is u paralleled in today's world of Dr's rushing you out to see as many patients as possible. I rate her "4.0" almost everywhere. But when you are getting such superior attention, it would be unthinkable to object to spending a little extra time in the office for that attention.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bowyer's for 10 years. I have recommended her to family and friends looking for a new Dr. in Centreville. She is the best and her bedside manner is off the charts. She really listens to you and makes you feel like you are her only priority when she is with you. Always accurate or willing to work hard to find out the problem. A+

I would recommend Dr. Bowyer to any family - she treats the whole family with respect and courtesy. She is particularly empathetic to, and understanding of, family matters with small children!

I waited nearly 2.5 hours to see the doctor. It was unacceptable for an appointment I made nearly 3 months ahead of time. She was not out of the office according to staff, I am a working professional and I would never do that to a client. Practice management is extremely poor while her bedside manner is excellant, but not worth 3 hours wait only to be asked by staff if I would like to reschedule another 3 months out. She needs to fire all the administrative people in her office.

She give pills for everything, whatever you want. Great if you're a druggie. Also will write notes to be off work for great amounts of time which is also very convenient for the low class. You will need to have time off from work to wait for an appointment anyway. One hour is the shortest time I ever had to wait.

Dr. Bowyer is a great physician working in an underserved area. Waiting time's are usually lengthy, but the staff will inform patients early if the wait is excessive and offers a chance to reschedule. Although Dr. Bowyer is a knowledgable physician, what I appreciate most is her willingness to listen and discuss alternative treatments. If she is unsure about anything, she is most willing to defer to a specialist or do some further research before rendering her opinion.
