Dr. Patricia K Brougher, MD

I went to see this doctor for my wife, she was having a menstrual bleeding problem for few days apart from her normal cycle, we visited this women's center and Dr. Laura (a Physician) was the primary investigator for this case, she found everything all right and didn't sugggest any medication or didn't even ask to follow up in case the bleeding increases or her physical condition get worse, instead she suggested us to wait and see if everything becomes normal naturally. So we waited for few more days, my wife's bleeding gradually increased and she lost loads of blood, we already waited for almost 7days by then and she started to get pale, then went to see another doctor, got her a blood test and found out her blood count was really low and I had to admit her into the hospital finally. All this happened just the previous doctor/Nurse (Ms. Laura) didn't suggest anything, otherwise she could avoid this anemic condition. Finally she is better now after few blood transfusion and other… painful treatments. I didn't expect such treatment from a renowned doctor like her, I'm disappointed and dismayed by her careless misdiagnosis which was inexcusable.

I thought Dr. Brougher was an expert gynecologist. Her careless misdiagnosis was inexcusable. Without any testing, she assumed a diagnosis based on her own expertise. The key to my ailment was in a blood test which should have been done on the first visit. This experience has been detrimental to my health, time, and finances. After two months and unnecessary tests/meds, the true diagnosis was revealed - she had her assistant give me a follow up visit - very unprofessional. I so wish I would have chosen a different gynecologist - Dr. Brougher is no good.

Office staff doesn't return phone calls.

The office staff was impersonal, rude, and inattentive. It would serve them well to place more emphasis on customer service.

In reference to another post about Dr. Brougher (the grumpy comment), some people just don't get along (I wonder what attitude that reviewer had that day). I do recognize that Dr. Brougher is super busy, and that most likely leads to a tired look, but she is a great person, super professional (some people may see this as being serious), REALLY smart and REALLY cares. My wife and I have had tons of questions and Dr. Brougher always answers our questions ON THE SPOT (about as fast as I can ask). We (my family) really trust her and her team, and we definitely recommend her for an OB. Remember, a happy Dr. has happy patients, and vice-versa.
