Dr. Patricia Marie Byers, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Patricia Byers since 1999, and she has performed all my surgeries with unmatched skill and care. I trust her completely—any other doctor I see, she knows them, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else without her approval. She treats me like family, always listens, explains everything clearly, and makes me feel confident in every decision. Simply the best!

I have seen Dr. Byers since Nov of 2016. I was literally running out of options as I was dropping weight extremely fast and could not eat without extremely bad pain and sickness. My first apt I waited 3 hours but my apt itself was 4 hours long! She automatically knew what was wrong and ordered the scans. I came in for results and to figure out what to do next and she was right. She immediately admitted me to start IV nutrition. She had figured out what was wrong with me when all of my other doctors couldn't. A few months later she placed a feeding tube and a drain tube to help my stomach. Since then I have been on IV nutrition and tube feeds. I have gained so much weight back and get to watch my children grow up. I see her monthly in clinics and her staff is so so sweet and makes sure you understand everything before you leave. It is hard to get ahold of someone if you call in and you rarely get a call back so I recommend keep calling. Scheduling an appointment is extremely easy. She… has amazing bed side manner and is very set and strict in her ways but that is part of what makes her such a good doctor.

Kept us waiting for over 3 hours - no apology. Poor bedside manner. Unprepared for visit - no knowledge of patient, diagnosis. Did not appear interested in patient's input, feeling, or psychological impact of her delivery. No follow through on placing necessary/recommended orders for patient. Did not return call after appointment. Would NOT recommend this doctor. Worst experience I've ever had with a physician. Unable to think of one redeeming quality or aspect of visit. A total waste of time.

You will wait at dr. Byers clinic. The wait can be over an hour, but once you see her, it will be all worth it. She is the most knowledgeable physician I have ever encountered. She is incredibly thorough, AND GIVES YOU ALL THE TIME YOU NEED WITH HER, THUS, THE REASON FOR THE WAITING TIME. If you have an unusual abdominal injury, fistula, Crohn's Disease, multiple bowel resectons, YOU ARE AT THE RIGHT PLACE WITH THE RIGHT DOCTOR. Where I found other docotrs gave up, she takes on the challenge, and better yet, gives people bacl quality of life. It's a lbor of love on her part.
