Dr. Patricia Claire Hogan, MD

short time spent with patients. Felt rushed to get my questions answered. Doesn’t fully address patient concerns/ailments.

My wife and I have had nothing but superb care from Dr. Hogan and her staff for many years! Always thorough, always correct in her diagnosis and treatment, we could not ask for a better physician!

I have been a customer for many years, but thankfully I am very healthy so I have visited her office only a few times. During all these years, I only have been seen by Dr. Hogan twice or three times, as I usually see her NPs. My experience with her NPs has been OK, and that is why I continued to go to her office. However, during my last visit, I had to see Dr. Hogan, instead of one of her NPs. My experience with her was very unpleasant; not only I was seen about 40 minutes after my appointment time, but she was rude and condescending. After examining the part of my body, I have a complaint about, she gave me some self-care instructions. As I was trying to explain to her that I already have done all of those things, but my condition has not improved, and that I would like to have some further testing done to ensure my condition would not worse in the future, she looked at me with a stone face and said, not, then she proceeded to leave the room while I still trying to talk to her. I… have starting my search for a new family doctor, and I would never recommend her to anyone.

I started seeing Dr. Hogan because my wife goes to her and has always been happy with Dr. Hogan. Dr.Hogan has always impressed me as a caring person and knowledgeable about any illness I present her with. I started taking my mother to her also and Dr. Hogan was a great help to us as my mother grew older and weaker. if I ever lost DR. Hogan as my primary Doctor I would probably have to be treated for depression. Thank you DR.Hogan and staff for all you do ! Caring hands are helping hands.

Unbelievable ego. Actually talks about your medical issues as a cause of her desiring to quit and take a job not dealing with patients. Great idea. May you be treated exactly like you treat your patients when you're I'll one day. God knows you deserve it.

Medically sufficient yet Rude and condescending. Handles complaints by blaming those making them. Does not listen.

Yesterday I was in your office with my son and interacted with the young lady at the front desk regarding a â??No showâ?? fee on my sonâ??s account. She reminded me of the date and circumstance of the appointment. At which time I recalled the appointment. My letter to you today is to address the lack of customer service you are providing to Dr. Hoganâ??s patient customers. I was unable to cancel this appointment for my child first thing in the morning. I called more than once (which I can prove) to cancel this appointment and there was no answering service available where I could leave a recorded message. The telephonetic technology is readily available and not expensive so I donâ??t understand why any medical office wouldnâ??t have it installed. The young lady at the desk preceded to arrogantly, righteously and condescendingly lecture me as if I was an irresponsible teenager who didnâ??t take out the trash. I understand the consequences of â??No showâ?? appointments, which… is why I tried to cancel mine. In light of your lack of messaging and inadequate customer service you had patient customers waiting in your lobby for an appointment that wasnâ??t coming. The burden to resolve this problem is yours as is the neglect you showed to the other patient customers that were waiting that day. A responsible and respectful patient customer like myself did not cause your office difficulties on this day. Just like yourself, I have a job, and once I got to work, I was working and was unable to call back a third or fourth time before my sonâ??s 10:00 am appointment. When I was in the office yesterday you chose not to come out and speak with me; therefore this matter has not been resolved. Regardless of the fee, I hope to see some improvement in the customer service and professionalism exhibited from yourself and your desk staff. I and my three children are customer patients of Dr. Hoganâ??s. If this unprofessionalism persists we can certainly find another source for our medical needs.

In a recent visit Patricia commented I was one of her first patients. I still am one of her patients. I am a former nurse and to say the least I will second guess everything. With Patricia, I have no problem talking openly and honestly about any issues going on. She is an excellent Dr and very knowledgeable. I often do see her NPs, but I have no problem with that-they are generally very good.

Dr. Hogan's office staff is great & probably the only reason she is still in business. After years of always seeing her nurse practitioners, I saw her for the first time the other day. Not only did I sit in the exam room for 40 minutes waiting to be seen (all the while listening to her in the room next door laughing it up with another patient) but when she did finally come in to see me, she flat out told me that she "didn't have time to deal me because she had other patients to see" all because I was not answering her questions as quickly as she wanted me to. Mind you, this was after she had been in the room for all of 5 minutes and had already told me that she wasn't a "life coach" and that I was "a big girl and should figure things out..." Dr. Hogan then told me my scripts would be at the front and walked out of the room. As I was leaving, it became clear that the doctor was more concerned about eating her lunch than anything else... I wish I had read some of these reviews before… going in and seeing her so as to be better prepared for her possible degrading attitude. TPCA should be aware of the doctors they have representing them!!

Dr. Hogan's is very professional, caring, thorough. The office runs "on time" more often than not. I can get an appointment right away, if needed. And, I rarely have to wait long to see Dr. Hogan or the Nurse Practitioner at an appointment. The nursing staff is very attentive and caring. I always recommend Dr. Hogan to people looking for a Primary.
