Dr Judson Lancaster is amazing. She made me feel so at ease with my diagnosis. I would recommend her to anyone

However, she is not someone I would recommend to a family member or friend. I had 2 issues that I saw her for. To make a long story short, I ended up not getting negative test results until 2.5 months after the tests were done and that led to me having another test where the results magically went from abnormal to suddenly normal, which is just not possible. This led Dr Judson to not want to take any further action on the issue because "everything was normal". The second issue I went to her for was going to involve surgery- a surgery which based on everything I had read should have been completed laporoscopically, yet Dr Judson wanted to split me down the middle of my stomach instead. I am so very thankful I trusted my gut and left her care and went somehwere else. As it turns out, the issue that was supposedly now normal according to Dr Judson was no where near normal and I need further treatment. Also, the surgery I was going to have with her for the second issue CAN and WILL be… done in a minimally invasive manner- not a big cut down my abdomen. Going to a second doctor has literally saved my life with the first issue and has significantly reduced the chance for surgical complication and recovery with the second issue. I am extremely disappointed and expected much more from a Moffitt doctor. But, in the end, I am getting better care somewhere else and I thank God for that. It's all that really matters. I have nothing personal against Dr Judson, but I felt I had to write a quasi warning to those out there who are considering seeing her for their gynecologic oncology issues. Make sure you get second opinions, especially with this doctor.

I saw Dr Judson for recurrent gynecological cancer and because she was into alternative treatment. I really liked her at first, though as I questioned her about alternative treatments, it became apparent she had little knowledge. She placed me on what would be considered standard chemo treatment for this reoccurrence. She gave me several treatments without looking at my bloodwork. I spoke with her about side effects including a fever for 2 days. She had no recommendations as she said those were not side effects. She also did not perform a physical exam.

Dr. Judson is a doctor that only cares about what is the easiest text book procedure. She misdiagnosed my wife's pathology and put her on Chemo that was totally ineffective for my wife's cancer. She ignored research, did nothing to help on an individual basis. Furthermore she let her "fellows" that were not even trained oncologists come up with the treatment for her. Time and time again she lied about her condition constantly saying "oh that's not because of the cancer" when it most certainly was. She hides behind her husband Dr. Lancaster who runs the department. This doctor is only concerned about one thing only - trying the bare minimum and then giving up on you after the standard cookie cutter approach does not fit.

A complete gem of a doctor. Very professional, yet compassionate. Excellent doctor!!
