Dr. Patricia Hahn Mcconnell, MD

I had went to this doctor's office for a few years and delivered two of my children here. The other doctors were always fine, but I ended up having Dr. McConnell at delivery with my third child. I did end up having a postpartum hemorrhage a week after deliver, and I can't say it was totally Dr. McConnell's fault, but at my 6 week checkup I brought up to her how I was experiencing postpartum depression, and she completely dismissed my feelings and even asked "Is it really that bad?". I could not believe how an OBGYN could be that ignorant to PPD. After that experience and it being her practice, I moved on.

My 1st encounter with Dr McConnell was when she performed a D&E after a miscarriage during my first pregnancy. I was devastated and she was warm and reassuring. I had 2 children later, one of which she delivered via c- section. She can be blunt and doesn’t sugar-coat things but after 20 years of seeing her I promise you she is the BEST in her profession and is really a warm, caring and wonderful person!

Doctor McConnell ruined our delivery day for our first baby, please believe we will not return to have our 2nd with this group. The group as a whole isn’t bad but Patricia McConnell specifically can (and most likely will) ruin your special day. The rudeness that she spews from her mouth to her patients is outrageous. Upon meeting her for the first time (at 8cm dilated) myself and my husband were instantly hit with the most rude comments you can possibly imagine. These comments persisted right up through the birth, and even into the post partum period the next day. Unbelievable. We did nothing to provoke this and we never gave her ANY attitude. She made me feel like a complete idiot during that stay, for absolutely no reason. My one regret is that I did not stand up for myself and say something back. Thank you doctor McConnell for forcing us to remember your rudeness and demeaning statements toward us, everytime we think of the day our first child was born. I really hope you don’t ruin… everyone’s birth. You are a complete ***hole and I will continue to share our story with every detail and every word you said to ANYONE that asks where they should deliver in the philadelphia area. You really should not be in this profession, you really should not deal with people ever, your mouth really ruins things, learn to control it. And I could care less about your “20 or 30+ years of experience”. Your one of ALOT of OB’s with the exact same experience. DO NOT USE PATRICIA MCCONNELL FOR YOUR OB SERVICES OR DELIVERY.

Dr McConnell is an excellent professional, a little cold though. Feels like you are one more appointment in her daily schedule. Doesn't connect with you as a human being. Office staff is so rude that I have decided to move to another practice.

Dr. McConnell is the best! She is extremely warm and easy to talk to her. Have been her patient for years and wouldn't want anyone else.

Dr. Patricia McConnell is outstanding. Her experience, professionalism and warm compassionate manner makes her the best ob/gyn one could have.
