Dr. Patricia Peterson, MD

Worst service ever. My appointment was canceled on a very short notice and I was given the soonest appointment 5 weeks away after the cancelation. She placed and IUD, I began to bleed the day after non stop for over 7 weeks. There is not a good communication between the front desk, the nurse, medical assistant and the doctor. They don’t return my calls on a timely manner. They don’t seem to care much about patients health.

Absolutely terrible. She was my on-call doctor when I was delivering my son. I was being scheduled to be induced and told me that it can be up to 3+ days before I deliver because it was my first baby. She administered pitocin and went on her way. Baby apparently had other plans, and I was completely dilated and ready to push within 4 hours. She looked completely annoyed. She sighed everytime I cried, and even rolled her eyes at me. So unprofessional my partner was in disbelief as he too, witnessed the entire thing. I only pushed for 20 minutes, she did a few stitches on me and never saw her again. I guess It was her time to leave. I don’t know why this woman is in this field if she hates her job so much. All the other nurses were fantastic and I wish my actual oh (dr chau/dr Frank) delivered instead. If you have this woman on-call, I’m so sorry.

I am now 20 weeks or so I believe and I am not so sure I want to keep this doctor. This is my second pregnancy. I have missed work because of pain in my stomach and migraines and she didnt even bother to see me. The pain in my stomach is being brushed off as ligaments stretching even though it gets so bad that Im doubled over or in tears at times. This to me is not the normal cramping of muscles and pain from ligaments stretching. Ive had cold/flu like symptoms the entire time but that gets ignored too. When I called about the headaches/migraines she didnt even have me come in or anything she just wrote me a prescription for dilaudid. Like seriously? I have only seen her one time, my other appointments have been with her nurse or some doctor that was on call even though she was in the building.

Have had Dr. Peterson for 10 years and have had 2 babies with her as my OB/GYN. Wonderful, knowledgeable, gentle.

This doctor was not my ob md but I had her because she was on call on the day my baby was born. I've seen Drs Chau/Frank and Harder which were all awesome and highly recommend. She was the typical 5min or less md and not as personable as the rest of the md's that I've seen at salem clinic.

She's kind enough and knowledgable, but is seriously unavailable for appointments and the actual delivery. I've been scheduled with her nurse for the majority of my appointments, and even after being through three pregnancies with her I still think she doesn't actually know my name. She came in to the room four minutes before my first baby was born; was not available to deliver my second baby (and I ended up with an on call doctor who was my worst nightmare); and I'm told that she only works at the hospital one day of the week now, so the likelihood of her being there at my third baby's birth is very low. I wish I would have switched OB's at the beginning of this pregnancy and at 38 weeks am actually considering trying to find someone else that will take someone as a patient who is about to deliver!

Dr. Peterson was very professional during my son's birth. She made "on-the-spot" decisions that lead to a healthy baby and mom. I highly recommend her.
