Dr. Patricia Wai-Yee Tsui, PhD

The office at Stonybrook said that they took my insurance and waited until after I had seen the doctor for several appointments before saying that they actually did NOT take my insurance and I would have to pay out of pocket for each session. Despite the fact that I called several times prior to my first appointment and gave my full insurance information, where I was told that my plan DID cover the doctors visit, the office denied any responsibility as I had signed the required agreement to pay out of pocket if my insurance didn't cover (please note that if you do not sign this, you will not be given services). So lovely doctor, but only go if you want the billing department to lie to your face and then charge you an arm and a leg for 50 minutes of your time when they know all their clientele are chronic sufferers with limited funds.

I have been seeing Dr Tsui for a year now, I look forward to each and every visit. She knows my story well and all of the characters in it! She gives me information that she thinks is relevant to my situation, and runs support groups as well. It’s good for me to meet others out there with situations similar to mine!

She is Great !! She is very helpful and understanding !
