Dr. Patricia Kay Watson, MD

I was looking around Houston for a doctor when I saw that Dr. Watson was still practicing. I had already had difficulty finding a doctor in my area accepting new patients so this came as a relief to me. I called, made an appointment, and was pleased. However, when I showed up to my appointment the receptionist informed me that although they had my home phone number on file from when I used to be a patient there 8 years ago, they did not bother to call me to tell me that Dr. Watson is not accepting new patients. Apparently my visits in high school would not qualify me as a returning patient. I am in grad school and had to miss class today to make it to my appointment. Not to mention wade through an hour of traffic. The receptionist apologized half-heartedly but no amount of apology can make up for the wasted time, the missed class, and the fact that I stopped looking for another doctor when I made this appointment. This all could have easily been avoided with a call. This is… absolutely not how a professional office runs. If you are wanting to make an appointment with Dr. Watson, I would double check with who ever makes your appointment and speak slowly because they don't know how to schedule an appointment in a computer at this office.

I found Dr Watson to be a very caring, knowledgable doctor. She takes time to explain things and is very sensitive to the issues. I love her office staff. They are the best!
