Dr. Patrick Eugene Barry, DO

I have been a patient at their Dr. Barry's Hollywood location for about 5 months. In my last visit, I complained about shoulder discomfort. While the doctor was doing osteopathic manipulation on my shoulder, the shoulder was dislocated. I had to leave the doctor’s office by Rescue squad to go to the ER. I felt excruciating pain. The ER doctor had to put me to “sleep” to reduce the dislocation. I was discharged later in the day and referred to an orthopedist. My orthopedist said I need to wait about a month for some of the inflammation and healing to occur before he could determine if there is any more damage which I pray not. I also have to start physical therapy several times per week so I can hopefully achieve a better range of motion in my arm. Although this is unlikely to happen to you and most reviews about this practice are positive, I am just sharing my personal unique experience.
