Dr. Patrick I. Borgen is Chair of the Department of Surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He also heads the Brooklyn Breast Cancer Center at the Maimonides Cancer Center the only dedicated cancer center in Brooklyn. Dr. Borgen was recruited from Memorial Sloan Kettering, where he served as Chief of Breast Services, Head of the Breast Cancer Research Laboratory, and Director of the Breast Cancer Disease Management Team.

You will be at ease once you meet Dr Borgen. He is a genius surgeon and breast specialist with a big heart. He has a long list of accolades. I’m thankful to be under his care.

He is the most caring, kind , compassionate, wise surgeon I have ever met. He really listens and offers brilliant advice. You are blessed if he is your doctor. It is a scary time when you are first diagnosed with breast cancer. With Dr Borgen at your side you are supported and guided by a winning team . I wish he could train more future doctors. Love him, value him and am so grateful for him..

I took my elderly mom to see Dr. Borgen. Words can not describe this wonderful, caring, sensitive, compassionate doctor. He answered all her questions with gentleness, kindness and patience. He is truly AMAZING. His staff is also one of a kind.
