Dr. Patrick T Brillant, MD

Dr Patrick Brillant is a first class "QUACK" I wouldn't trust him to cut my toe nails I had a "Fistula" that I had for over a year all he could say was your ok until it got worse it almost cost me my life, the hole in my bladder an a hole in my intestine got bigger through out the year still no worries he says I was getting particals of food an fecies coming out when I took a pee still no worries he says again during over a month or 2 it continues getting worse the emergency room Dr personally called him 3 times also an told him something needs to be done still no results my personal physician called him also called again by this time I was peeing pure poop an a lot of pain I finally had to have an emergency surgrie to take care of the problem I think I woulda been better of to had visited a veterinian than to had seen Brilliant ,,Brilliant he's not but thanks to a local surgeon here in morehead city he saved my life......GOOD ADVICE stay clear of this man He's a QUACK

Slaved

This physician was covering the hospital over a weekend. A 55 y/o female patient had been operated on by his partner (for a routine hernia repair) 5 days earlier. Unfortunately, her condition deteriorated throughout the week and she was transferred to ICU. Dr. Brillant did not examine the patient after the transfer though he was on-call over that weekend. By the time the original surgeon returned, the patient was critically ill. She was sent back to surgery Monday night (after 48 hrs in ICU). She developed ARDS, left the OR Monday night intubated and remained in a sleep induced coma in SICU for 8 weeks. Ultimately, because of Dr Brillants indifference or ignorance , the patient was discharged 91 days later. At that point, she could walk 250 ft on a walker.

Having conciderable medical problems see more than a total of 12 Doctors I found Dr. Brillant to be one of the kindest and understanding Doctors I have had to deal with in the past 3 years. His staff is very proffesional. All my office visits were done in a very timely manner.Concidering the embarassment caused by this type of exam Dr. Brillant put me at ease as much as possible explaining each step.I would 100% recommend him to anyone with intestinal problems
