The question that has been around for quite some time: Is it better to have a younger surgeon who is sharper and is more up-to-date on the latest techniques or is it better to go with the older more experienced complacent surgeon. I chose the younger surgeon and am ecstatic with the results. Dr. Dermarkarian is the one who performed my 2-level spinal ACDF surgery. Prior to the surgery, the pain in my shoulder, tricep, arm tingling/numbness was so intense that I was in tears. Immediately after Dr. Dermarkarian performed the ACDF surgery, I was 100% pain free and in need of no pain medication. I will soon be back to all my favorite athletic activities thanks to Dr. Dermarkarian. Several independent medical professionals have provided very positive comments on the hardware that Dr. Dermarkarian installed. The actual picture is worth 1000 words: I find Dr. Dermarkarian to be confident, extremely intelligent, with excellent bedside manners and no arrogance.
