They make it very obvious that they only care about your money and not your health. They do not call you back about labs or test results even if they are bad . The only way you get answers is by calling and harassing them. The office manager who has been there for 20 years is rude and doesn't show any empathy or care for patients

don't go dear this man if you want quality care. Especially if you are not well insured because you will not get past his PA. And she is worthless! My friend just left by ambulance to the hospital. He has had three appointments with Frawley and never once got to see him. Do you think it might be because he only has medicare?? My friend had stopped drinking (he is an alcoholic) eight months ago. Had several one day set backs, then managed to get back on track. He was going to AA once a week. In Dec. he will be 80 yrs old. Long time to have been drinking. Approximately ten days ago he began drinking non stop. am-pm. I could do nothing to stop him. Tonight I tried to get him from desk to bed when he fell beside bed. I thought he would sleep on floor for a couple of hours as previously had done. However, while I was in the kitchen doing dishes, I heard him vomiting - and found it was blood. I called 911. I get angry to think 4 months ago I called Dr. Frawley to talk about… his history and told him I felt he truly wanted to quit, but was struggling and probably could not unless he was hospitalized and given some medication to help. Dr. Frawley thanked me kindly for the "heads up". I felt confident he would help. When he came home with nothing except a minor physical by the physician's assistant, I was livid. Next visit - still no Dr. Frawley. And the PA is just stupid. Need I say more. All this could have been avoided I feel if he had been seen and received the help he was promised. The ER in Goleta referred him to Frawley. Now I will tell you about my experience with this man. My psychiatrist referred me to him since we had tried every rehab center in southern Ca. to detox from the Fentanyl patch. I had an anterior/posterior back surgery 6 years ago resulting in major nerve damage to right side. No rehab center would take me saying too dangerous to detox as I would likely have a heart attack since my weight was only 80 pounds and had been since my surgery. She felt he might be able to help. He could not. She also asked his opinion as to the possibility of my having some form of manic/depression. He told her "Absolutely not. I did not have manic depression." Learned later he was very very mistaken. We both laughed at his report. Don't think she will refer to him again. The three times I saw him, my waiting time was well over an hour. I was taken and picked up by "easy lift" and could not wait all that time. Had to leave after all the effort of getting there not to mention the cost. When told of my situation, he did take me to room just long enough to say hello and goodbye - and to charge for the visit. This was about a year before my friend's referral.
