Dr. Patrick John Grablin

My mother had knee surgery in AUGUST 2022 and it is now a few days until APRIL 2023. 3 hospital trips (for internal infections) and still cannot walk around without it swelling up and bed ridden for days on ice. For months we have tried to get an appt with Grablin and EVERY TIME he would reschedule it and unable to see her. In over 6 months he has only been able to have an associate stop in and see her once in the hospital. She now has to be seen in Gainesville with hopes to find someone who will at least talk to her about seeing what happened in the surgery. We will be going to the board or whoever we can reach on his lack of caring at all to healing.

I had a rod through the middle of my tibia with four screws. He gave me twelve low milligram Vicodin when I left the hospital. I saw him a week later for a follow-up and he told me to take Aleve. He would not prescribe Tylenol 3. I was in excruciating unbearable pain for a month because of this. I asked him to order me a shower chair so I can bathe and he told me I didn't need one. I was to scared that I was going to fall so I had to baby wipe myself for a month. It is 6 months after my surgery and I have such excruciating pain I have to have reconstruction surgery. Please do not trust this doctor. He was rude and took about 2 minutes with me, stood in the door way and I couldn't tell if he was coming or going. He also stood behind my wheelchair that I was in and I told him I could not see or hear him or see him since I can't spin my head around in that direction and he just ignored me.

I had an accident just before Christmas 2019 and had my arm torn open. I was lucky enough to have Dr Grablin to put me back together, he did a great job of sewing my arm back up and leaving just a faint scar. He's an excellent surgeon and extremely personable, with a great sense of humor. He kept an eye on everything until all was well healed. I would defiantly recommend him to anyone who needed an orthopedic surgeon.

Orthopedic doctors like this one appear to be more concerned with surgery success rates than patient quality of life. His lack of compassion bordered on rudeness.

Having been in Ruskin FL. for two or three weeks my wife was experiencing knee pain from climbing too many flights of stairs at a local sports arena where she was attending a musical event . We made an appointment with Dr. Grablin to see if he would possibly give her a shot of cortisone. He took an x-ray and examined her thoroughly then administered the shot. I don't quite know where to start. It's one of the best experiences of my life. I was in constant pain for around eight months before I had my hip replaced. I am so lucky I decide to go with Dr. Gramlin. His office staff are amazing. My surgery went off without a hitch. I was back to work within two weeks. I was only in the hospital overnight. I am fat, I know I am fat and I know how it effects my overall health, I told Dr. Grablin this and he said, "How did you let yourself get this way?" When I complained about pain in my elbow he told me pain was part of life you need to work through it then he proceeded to tell me about a motorcycle accident he had and how he was working through the pain.

I have been going to Dr. Grablin for 10 years and wouldn't think of going to anyone else for orthopedic care.

I had persistent knee problems. Dr Grablin said I needed a knee replacement. He and his staff walked me through the surgery procedure and the recovery. It was a great comfort to have all that explained. The staff is friendly and helpful and I have always been seen on time. Dr Grablin is straight forward and listens to your questions. I would recommend Dr Grablin to anyone in need of a great surgeon.
