He obtained his medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, graduating with membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He then completed his residency training and a postdoctoral fellowship at the otolaryngology department of Johns Hopkins, along with advanced fellowship training in head and neck oncologic surgery.Ha serves on the editorial board of several medical journals, including Oral Oncology.
