Patrick Linson, MD, is a radiation oncologist in San Diego specializing in the treatment of prostate, brain, lung and skin cancers. In addition, he has expertise in intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) image-guided proton radiotherapy (IMPT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation treatment (SBRT) for brain, spine, lung, liver, kidney and prostate tumors. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Linson participates in studies evaluating prostate cancer treatments. He also conducted research while attending Harvard Medical School. After graduating, he completed a fellowship in preventive medicine at Harvard School of Public Health, where he went on to obtain his Masters in Public Health. Dr. Linson has worked on a number of cancer prevention projects at Harvard and the National Cancer Institute and continues to research prostate cancer prevention strategies. As an oncologist, Dr. Linson works closely with the patient …and their family, to provide the knowledge needed to make informed decisions. He strives to provide his patients with proven, up-to-date, and evidence-based practices, using state-of-the-art radiation therapy in a compassionate and caring manner. He also works with the patient and their physicians to create a treatment plan that incorporates the best surgical, chemotherapy and radiation therapy approaches. The ultimate goal is to give his patients the best outcomes, while limiting the side effects of treatment. His hope is to treat patients in the same way he would hope his own family to be treated. Away from the office, Dr. Linson is an avid runner. He enjoys the beach, white water rafting and hiking with his family. He and his family go camping regularly in the mountains, beaches, and deserts of Southern California. He loves to cook and explore restaurants with friends and family.

Dr. Linson and his team are amazing. They treated my husband's cancer. Dr. Linson is not only competent, thorough, and knowledgeable but he always takes the time to explain things and answer your questions. You never feel rushed. My husband has had several wonderful doctors but they are always half way out the door. With Dr. Linson, you never feel like your questions or worries are silly. There is no ego despite his graduating from Harvard Medical. This is true for his whole staff. They truly care and when you are fighting cancer, that matters.

I have been a patient of Dr. Linson for the past few years and have found both him, and his staff to be the epitome of health specialists who have both compassion, and expertise in treating patients with their needs. Dr. Linson is extremely thorough in his diagnosis, and shares supporting documentation so that a treatment plan, and progressive follow up is explained so that one is completely advised of options, plans, and successful outcomes. I am on my second adventure of treatment by Dr. Linson and his staff, and have complete trust and confidence in another successful adventure. I am pleased to write this review and encourage other patients to visit his office for the utmost in professionalism. Thank you for this opportunity to recommend this fine doctor, nurse, and admin staff.
