Patrick F. McEvoy, DDS, Fellow Academy of General Dentistry, Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry
Dr. McEvoy hails originally from Ireland, but moved to England at an early age. He studied physiology and immunology at Chelsea College, University of London, and received his dental degree from the London Hospital Medical College in 1981. After graduating from dental school, Dr. McEvoy gained invaluable experience during residencies in Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal London Hospital and at Ashford General Hospital.
Dr. McEvoy entered private practice in Knightsbridge, London, and subsequently became a partner in a private practice in Cambridge. He continued his education in Prosthodontics at The Eastman Dental Institute in London, and received training in both the surgical and prosthetic phases of implant dentistry from Dr. Branemark’s team in 1989. He has been fortunate to study with some of the great names of European Dentistry.
In 1990, a quest …to continue his postgraduate education led Dr. McEvoy to Columbia University in New York. In 1992, he moved to Mountain View, where he has been in private practice ever since.
Dr. McEvoy has accumulated thousands of hours of continuing education, with particular emphasis on dental implantology and cosmetic dentistry and has traveled widely to learn from the world leaders in dentistry.
In June 2002 Dr. McEvoy completed the prestigious “Maxicourse†in implant Dentistry at New York University. He is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology and Implant Dentistry, Dr. McEvoy has achieved the highest level of certification in implant dentistry. Dr. McEvoy has lectured both in the United States and internationally, and is a published author on esthetics and dental implants.
Dr. McEvoy is the father of 2 daughters, Fiona and Sophie. Outside of dentistry, Dr. McEvoy’s focus is on his family, and with them he enjoys traveling, skiing, camping and watersports. He is also an avid cyclist.
