I was a patient of Metro Vein Centers in Florham Park, New Jersey for over a year and unfortunately, due to office hour constraints and the distance from my home, I switched my final follow-up appointments to the Metro Vein office in Warren, New Jersey. The doctor’s name in the Warren office was Doctor Patrick McGovern and from the first moment, he entered the room I should have been concerned, when he asked what are we doing here... I proceeded to provide him with a short history of the procedures I had completed in the Florham Park, New Jersey office/location. Dr. McGovern and the assistant began asking a multitude of questions, which I tried my best to answer. They continually interrupted me and made several snide remarks, which I just ignored. The doctor and Assistant didn’t seem to know anything about me. And I got the feeling they did not what me there. After a few moments of their questioning, I politely asked if they had reviewed my records from the Florham Park office. … Stating the Florham Park office records should answer their questions. This is when Dr. McGovern abruptly said I’m done, got up and walked out of the room. I was stunned, what just happened! I was not rude, only a bit overwhelmed by the continuous questioning by both the doctor and assistant. Needless to say, Dr. McGovern is the worst doctor I have had the misfortune to meet. His bedside manner is arrogant, sarcastic, and defensive. I have never had anything like this happen to me in my life. I am a successful and well-thought of customer service representative. I have much experience with difficult people, but this caught me by surprise. I will never again walk into the Metro Vein in Warren, New Jersey office! In all my years, I have never met a more unprofessional person than Dr. McGovern. I hope this review will save someone from experiencing such unprofessionalism. I am so upset and still can’t believe what happened!

Dr. McGovern recently performed a colectomy on me. Excellent surgeon; he explained everything to me thoroughly, visit me on a daily basis at the hospital and the surgery was a success..his work was so great you can hardly see any scarring from the staples. (He's alive and saving lives). Strongly recommend him!
